Week 3 And Cant Advance Diet

My doctor told me I could try soft foods. I tried whitefish and threw up several times. The next day I tried mashed potatoes with the same result. Right now I can tolerate creamed soups, yogurt and cottage cheese. I want something new but I am afraid of getting sick. Do you think my stomach isn't ready yet or could there be an issue with more solid foods?

I was on full liquids for 7 weeks after surgery, because I had bad acid reflux when I first advanced to soft foods, at 4 weeks post-op. if food is making you sick, you're obviously not ready for it, and you should definitely listen to your surgeon. There's no need to rush the process....your body will let you know what it needs.

My surgeon said soft foods were okay, but I am getting sick every time. Tried eggs too, but got pukey again. I am 3 wks out. Is it just that I am not ready or could something be wrong?

I am 3 weeks out also and I'm going back to full liquids too. I've tried soft for a week and throw up every time. So aggravating!!!
