OMG!!!! I was just going to post this same thing!!!! I was feeling GREAT this morning until I took my Iron pill too! Now I've spent the last two hours sliming and vomiting. I wish it would go one way or the other, not just sit there! This is awful! Off to find some chewable or liquid versions of all my meds!

Yeah it was the worst experience I've had yet! I just started sipping hot tea to see if that'll get it down but I'm scared to eat anything. I don't want whatever I eat to get stuck on top of the pill.

Try to do soft food or a clear broth that what I had for lunch and finally after 3 hours it's over. hopefully it will never happen again.

I will be grinding my pills and taking them and the bad taste with some Water. Rather go yuck for a few then hack and vomit!

That's a very good plan! I'm going to be chopping mine up into teeny tiny pieces from now on!

Three hours is too long to suffer because of a pill! Never again!

Vitamin Shoppe sells a decent berry flavor chewable Iron. I take it twice a week. Zantac comes in a liquid...prescription only. Prevacid comes in a dissolveable tablet. :)

Has anyone tried meat tenderizer? It is a must have on my surgeons list for after surgery in case something gets stuck. Suggested: 1/4 tsp to 1 oz Water & sip! Hope this helps! I haven't had the surgery yet but seeing the post reminded me of the meat tenderizer.

What? You just drink the meat tenderizer? What's that supposed to do?

thanx for the advice. My doctor gave me a RX the pill is not that big and since my surgery date 11/05/12 it never happened to me. but i'm going to cut it in half and try it that way I never want to feel that again.

My understanding is it softens or dissolves it. This was recommended if something gets stuck except for gum. It will not work on gum.

Aha! My surgery was 11/07/12 so I wonder if its just about that time. My husband is stopping on his way home for a pill cutter! That was absolutely terrible!

Hmmm I'm going to have to check that out. It definitely would have helped today if it works!

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
