5'1 here. Not sleeved yet but hopefully soon. My pants size are 18 and never fit right:(. Hoping my BMI is high enough for them to approve me for the sleeve. I am 185 lbs but because I'm so short I look a lot heavier and feel it.

I am 5'3" and weighed 182 on day of surgery, Sept 10th (192 was high weight last spring)

I am currently 153. I wanted to be 150 by Thanksgiving but I don't think I am going to make it....my next goal will be 142 by Christmas.

I wondered if you girls have a hard time finding jeans like I do. And shirts actually too. Gah!

When I'm a size 16 I have no problems finding my length. But the fatter my butt gets' date=' the harder it is to find my length. everything is too long.[/quote']

You're going to LOVE shopping in the juniors section!!

I started out a size 24w and am now a size 4 and 6 pants, and 9-11 in juniors!!!

Us shorties fit perfectly in those cute juniors sizes!!!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Your so close now! It's gonna be great :) Wishing you a speedy recovery and looking forward to seeing how it goes!

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
