Surgery Date Ticker Issue

Recommended Posts

They not only removed the ticker, but also, my pre-op checklist I had in the sig.

This is a bit upsetting to me. The ticker documented my weight loss from my date of surgery. Surely there is a way to get back to document it? Very inconsiderate for you to remove this without notice.

Also, the slowness of the load time probably has a whole lot more to do with the massive amount graphic heavy advertisements plastered all of the boards. NINE + on this page alone.

Not letting us use the problematic tickers rather than removing them all would have been nice. (I moderated a forum like this one and there were certain tickers that causes issues, it wasn't all of them.) I used My Fitness Pal's ticker because I already track there and it's updated and accurate. Now, I'll have to login to this site via a computer (I'm almost always using the app) to update which means it will get update much less frequently.

Totally agree about the ads causing slow loading too. I know this is your site and you can do whatever you please, but hopefully user feedback is important.

Mine was removed and when I created one on this site, I said I had reached goal today. I reached goal over a year ago and there's no way to edit that part of the ticker.

Someone did not think the programming through very well.

Where is the selection of tickers to choose from? The email I got has a link, but it basically goes to a page with nothing on it.

If you click on your username in the top right corner, a box should come up with a link for My Tickers (at the end of the left column).

I received an email today telling me they deleted my ticker. So, I picked one from this sight today. Honestly, I liked my old one better. :(

I spent a long time selecting my personal ticker, and it had significant meaning to me. I am disappointed in the paltry number of choices for the VST site's tickers, and I hope you will be adding more options.

My original ticker was a roller coaster with a banana ticker, which meant a lot since one of the reasons I decided on WLS was because of problems I had fitting on a roller coaster as well as my past history with weight loss attempts mirrored a roller coaster. And the banana? Our sleeves are banana-shaped.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
