I Thought These Would Go Away....

Recommended Posts

I realize I am only at 6 weeks and as of this morning I'm down 43 lbs. HOWEVER I went shopping yesterday and bought some pants, went from size 24 to an 18. I was SO excited. I then went and got fitted for a bra..... no excitment. I started this journey at a 46 FF and I am now a 40 FF. So the band went down but nothing came off the cup.

Now I wasnt expecting them to be way down to a B cup or lower. When I was 12 I was a DD already and wasnt not overweight at all. I also realize they have plenty of time to go down, but how frustrating to find the only thing I havent lost anything off of is my breats.

I want smaller, easier to manage boobs!!!! If they dont go down with the rest of me that means MORE surgery to get a reduction.

Ok end of vent. I know its not something some people would be upset about, but these things are out of control lol

From your mouth to Gods ears. I kept being told by those around me that have had the surgery the first things they lost were their behinds and boobs.

my 'vent' goes the other direction! I will be an 'A' before I know it and was a fabulous 'C' prior to surgery. you can be upset about what you want, everyone is differrent and thats okay!!

A D cup in 44 is not the same size as a D cup in a 36. At least that's what they told me at the bra fitting department.

keep in mind that the 40FF cup is actually smaller than the 46FF cup. So I bet they are smaller :)

*sigh* ... even though I am a guy. I lost my butt too! It was funny when a coworker came up to me and said "boo, where did you hide your ass?" while looking for it.

My bras are custom made because of the size. And based on measurements they are exactly the same. My bra girl told me she has seen this before and to relax because they will get smaller in time.

I'm hoping for a nice D when I'm done.

I never had one to begin with. Lol. I spoke to a trainer this past week and said I want exercises that will help enhance my late of butt.

I'm 6 weeks out too, and down 41 pounds now, but have not gone down a size in clothes yet, they're getting loser, so it's getting close. But how amazing for you to be down so many sizes, that's awesome!! I feel your pain with the boobs though. I'm a 46DDD and I'm praying to get to a full C or even a D when I'm done losing weight. It is a pain to have such large breasts, not all it's cracked up to be sometimes. I say give yourself some more time, they're starting to "shrink" a little I'm sure, if your band size went down. Just give it some time. Congratulations on the weight loss so far though and the sizes you've gone down!

Ha! It just shows the grass is always greener! I am a pear shaped woman who needed breasts for balance! Three weeks out and my girls have shrunken noticeably... But my hips are still here!

Crazy how we are so different, I am only down 37 pounds in 8 weeks but down from a 22 in pants to a 16. I was upset the scale wasn't moving faster but I guess I am seeing it in my clothes so I will be happy with that! Do you think this has anything to do with our starting weights?

That's great. I think we are all just shaped differently. I'm tall and my weight was distributed through my body fairly evenly. I'm happy the weight is dropping and sizes

My cousin went from a size 18/20 to a size 2/4, she didn't lose her boobs until the last 10-15lbs of her weightloss. She went from a full D to barely a B, so it is possible for them to shrink.

Ps. She's never had small boobs, are family is gifted (cursed?) with large ones so she was surprised when she lost them

I feel your pain. I'm down 30 pounds and everything has gotten smaller EXCEPT the things I wanted to go down the most! My F cup boobies! I'm praying they catch up with the rest of me eventually!

Question for anyone, how did you get your mind right before surgery? Like as far as eating better foods and just doing better in general? I'm having a really hard time with this. Any help is appreciated 🙏❤️

I had about 6 months between deciding to do surgery and getting scheduled. I came across the book The Pound of Cure by Dr. Matthew Weiner, a bariatric surgeon in Arizona, and started to implement some of the changes he recommended (and lost 13 lbs in the process without ever feeling deprived). The book is very simple, and the focus is on whole, plant based foods, but within reason. It's not an all or nothing approach, or going vegan or something, but focuses on improvement and aiming for getting it right 80-90% of the time. His suggestions are divided into 12 sections that you can tackle over time, perhaps one per month for a year if a person is just trying to improve nutrition and build good habits. They range from things like cutting out artificial sweetener or eating more beans to eating a pound of vegetables per day. I found it really effective pre-surgery and it's an eating style I will be working to get back to as I am further out from surgery and have more capacity. Small changes you can sustain will do the most for building good habits for life.

That sounds awesome. I'll have to check that out thanks!

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
