We've tried all that. How long will those 6's stay 6's? I don't wish any harm, but we're not here because we can't lose the weight. We're here because the darn pounds sneak back and bring buddies.

Ask her how many of those clients that went from a 22 to a 6 wound up at a 26 to 28 a year or two later. Most of us have tried and failed multiple diet and exercise regimens, even with "outstandin

You should of told her that her face reminded you of James brown and it was upsetting you. Smh people need to learn to mind their business and give advice when you request it.

So she knew you had an irreversible operation and decided to chew you up anyway for not doing it "her way".

I would take an operation any day over spending any time with that unbelievable self-centered clod.

Soo true I was always an up and down lbs type of a girl! Every year since I was 21 I have gained 20-50lbs then loose and the it would creep up! I had it And finally decided to get sleeved!!!!

Yea me too!! It's not for most of us that we cant get the weight off its because we cant keep it off. I agree with everyone here. This is a lifelong change we want! 2,3 years from now where are those size 6 people. I swear people need to learn to zip their lips!!!!

I also agree-let's see where those clients are a year or two from now! Also, how many of these clients were losing weight for the first time? Big difference between a woman losing pregnancy weight than someone who has stuggled with weight their whole life! The best revenge is living well...you show that trainer that this was a healthy choice for you in the long run-it wasn't quick fix!

If I were her (of course I'm not), I would have asked the OP to come see me if she wanted help once she could exercise. What's the point of giving someone crappé for something over and done? Trainer could have gotten another client and success story instead of being a jerk.

you guys are so awesome. thank you for putting me back in a positve mind frame. and and after her spill about the training she said well im here if you need a trainer.and she said see you had that surgery and still need to workout and eat riight. i told her i now have a tool that will help me eat right. and she offered again and walked away.

yeah maybe we could of all done it without surgery, but EHHHH it took us only 3 months to lose 60+ pounds!!! hahahahaha, how long did it take her clients to lose it :-P

so, bit me you nasty co-working beotch! :-D haha jk!

You are a brave woman and a great example! Any health professional and I mean professional would just be happy that you took a step to loose weight and take care of your health! That woman is obviously not aware of the fact that if you could have just worked out and lost weight you would have.

Be proud and know that she is probnly exaggerating her own accomplishments with her clients.

love this support group you guys rock

New GM you're doing an amazing job and don't let some snooty personal trainer get to you.

Ya know Oprah Winfrey has had a very highly respected personal trainer, Bob Greene, and she can't seem to lose weight or maintain a weight loss.

So doing this with only a personal trainer is of benefit because???

You just keep doin' what you're doin' and when you're at a healthy weight - and when you're able to maintain that weight - we'll see what Mr. Smarty Pants has to say then.

Actions speak louder than words...your continued success will show that this was the best decision for you. I am 2 months out and have only told a couple of people for this reason.

I had a guy at work say something very similar. My response was something like "You are sooo right! Why didn't I think of just dieting and exercise before? What a novel idea! Oh that's right I did try that and look how successful it work for me over the past 30 years. I lost at least 300lbs in 30 years. Diet and exercise alone works so well for everyone that over 50% of America is overweight or obese". Of course I did this in front of a bunch of people at work. He felt like an idiot like he should have. He only has nice things to say now. ????

Newgrandmother- all I can say is, until someone has walked in your shoes, no one should chastise you for the decision you made. Shame on her!!!

Wow that was rude!!! I don't know why so many people think that having weightloss surgery is the easy way out because it isn't. Heck it is no wear near easy!!! Keep your head up and don't let what she said get you upset because it you did what was best for YOU and so did everyone else here....

I think only 5% if people that lose weight through diet and exercise keep it off. The remaining 95% regain the weight. That is the reality. I wish more people in the fitness industry would get their heads out of the clouds and realize this.
