Any November 14Th Sleevers?

Recommended Posts

Have you found anything that helps? I'm taking Prevacid daily but thinking about trying pepto bismol or tums...

Nope, I take tums for heart burn and it increases the nausea feeling.

I have been soooo cold. It's been really warm here (in the 80's) and I'm still chilly! It's driving my boyfriend crazy.

Theres another thread about being cold. I thought it was just me, but I'm realizing I'm not alone. Im alllllllways cold and now I have to sleep with layers of clothes. This seems to be a common thing after surgery

I've stalled..but I've read this is VERY COMMON. Do a search for '3 week stall' . Remember to keep up with your Water and Protein ...and stay off the scale lol

Let me clarify...you don't necessarily stall for 3 weeks lol, but the 3rd week after surgery many ppl report of stalling

I had 4 days with no scale movement, but it also coincided with my period, so it could have been that too. But this morning I had dropped 0.5kg.

But I've also found I have to force myself to eat the last couple of days. Nothing appeals and I'd rather eat nothing. Very peculiar ;) but I stick to my routine and eat every few hours anyway

I had mine done November 12th. Full Liquid Protein diet 2 weeks before and 3 weeks after. Monday, I started soft Proteins, but can supplement with full Protein as needed.

I have noticed that I am very sensitive to the cold! Has anyone else noticed this? I wonder if it's my body slowing down everything to conserve energy' date=' my weightloss has slowed down....[/quote']

I have this same problem...I read on another thread that our thermostat is thrown off after surgery and we may experience being cold all the time...some said it went away after a few months others said it didn't...

Just checking in....I started soft foods this week and so far so good! I definitely feel when I'm getting full and nothing has made me sick yet. I would say I've been a "slow" loser but my husband out together this collage and I can totally see a huge difference in my face so if anyone else is worried about slow losing, maybe try this for a little encouragement.

Hope everyone else is doing good!!!

Hi everyone. I too am a Nov. 14th sleever. I had the pain my left shoulder right after surgery, but only for the first day. The doc said it was from the air they pumped in me during surgery. My biggest concern is that I was on liquids only for 2 wks. prior to surgery, and I lost 12 lbs., but it all came back after surgery, and today, I'm only down 13 lbs. - it was 3 wks. this past Wed. I know everyone is different, and it's really hard for me to get the Fluid and Protein all in every day. Maybe this is the reason I haven't lost more? I am walking everyday, and people are starting to notice the inches I've lost, but that scale is definitely not my friend.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
