Reporting in after surgery.... So far, so good. I did have a rough hour around 9pm when the anesthesia wore off. Had some terrible nausea and a headache. Feeling better now though, just thirsty. A little bit of abdominal pain, but very tolerable. Looking forward to my swallow test tomorrow and having some clear liquids! I hope everyone else's procedures went well today!

Less than 24 hours out from surgery - I'm feeling good, just a little low on energy and my tummy is feeling pretty tender - but I would say its uncomfortable, not painful.

Dr. said I may be able to go home today. I haven't tried drinking anything besides ice chips so hoping that goes well.

Hope everyone else is doing good!

2 days post op - heading home in an hour. Feeling great - gained 5 pounds since surgery because of all the fluids...trying not to stress.

I'm home. I didn't have such an easy time. He first two days I was in a lot of pain, and very nauseous. I did have several moments of 'why did i do this to myself?' My nurses were amazing though. I stayed in recovery the first night and didn't get moved to a room until the second day. Feeling much better today. Still in pain, but no no nausea! For all you people that were able to get right up I applaud you! I couldn't really walk around until today the pain was more intense when I stood. It's slowly getting better and better though! I know this will all be worth it soon!

I'm home now and feeling pretty good. Tolerating full liquids well, no nausea, just some gas. So glad to be home!

I got home today, so 3 nights in hospital. Boy oh boy, I didn't get it easy either. I was so nauseous day of surgery, and still fairly out of it the following day. But I've been walking as much as I could - stalking the wards at midnight. Helped with the gas pain, which I had around my diaphram and under my ribs. Once it moved up into my shoulders, heat pads were good. Today I thought I'd have a try at yogurt - 2 licks of the teaspoon and I was done. Weird! But 4kg (8.8 lb) down in 4 days. Now to concentrate on water/protein I guess.

Got home on Thursday afternoon. VERY painful recovery with all the gas. I got up and walked as soon as I got to my room . Every time they gave me morphine I got nauseous . I'm doing much better now. The first night home was rough sleeping but I got a full nights sleep last night. Just trying to make sure I keep getting my fluids in. I can't wait till I have a solid BM. Good luck everyone !!!!

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
