Any nausea or pain? Gas?

Amanda Rae

I had a lot of nausea yesterday and vomited up blood several times. The doctor said this was normal. As far as pain, there has been some, but it's not bad at all. My gas pains have been minimal. I can't complain. I'm walking every hour. It definitely helps with my nausea.

I had really bad nausea and vomiting yesterday too. Gas pains today. I'm glad you're improving. Walk and sip. Sip and walk.

I am having my surgery next month and was wondering since Dr. G is in Mexico, how do you do follow up visits like I keep seeing people post from US that they are/ going to a follow up visit?

I personally spoke to my pcp before surgery. She was on board for my 3 month followup also went to her at 1 month out to ensure incisions were healing correctly.

I recall receiving when a follow up visit with pcp should be done in the packet I had received after surgery.

Glad to hear yall are doing great! If you become too nauseous it may be the pain meds ( not always but I know I was miserable until I asked them to stop giving me pain meds) .

I hope u all have a speedy recovery and welcome to the losers bench! :)

I just spoke with Ms. Alma, Ready 4 Change, today and had her put me down for May 10th. I am undecided if I want to fly in the night before or the day of. At this time, I'm planning on traveling alone, but I think I'm going to have my husband tag alone. He really does not want me traveling to Mexico with all of the bad news that we hear about here in SA.

I will be there then. My surgery is on May 7.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
