OK...this is how I did it... First save your picture as a jpg document. If you can resize so that they are not huges it is better. The way to do that would depend on your camera software. Next..

well I had my fill appointment yesterday. No fill for me. Based on my weightloss, 20 lbs since banding 11/29 & 6 lbs withing the past 4 weeks through the holidays they said my results were great. Why change anything this second. I was a little dissapointed and at the same time I felt great...... OOPPS, it's late, gotta go. I'll tell more of the story later on.

My doctor is going so much slow at these fill. I had my surgery 11/2, first fill 12/16 and I don't have another one until 12/23.

I'm on a faster than normal schedule for my doctor. Banded on 11/7, first fill (2 cc in a 4 cc band) on 12/18 and next fill scheduled for 1/29. He said he normally does the first fill at 8-12 weeks and I got mine at 6. He normally fills 1-1.5 cc and I got 2. He normally fills at 8-12 week intervals and mine is scheduled for 6.

I'm down 28 pounds since the surgery so happy with that. I was only down 1 pound when I weighed today (nurse's office at work wasn't open yesterday due to the holiday) but considering I was on prednisone for 1/2 the week and feel like I ate everything that didnt eat me first, not too disappointed.

My appointment for the first fill is today, my banding date was 11/24, I have lost 26-27 pounds since banding.

I wonder what my fill doctor is going to say ...

I thought I would weigh in on the fills discussion. My surgeon and I have been pretty aggressive with my fills but I am now regreting that. I am now too full. Now that the weather has cleared up and it's safe to travel, I hope to get in to see him this Friday to get a small unfill. I would much rather have to have willpower then deal with what I have been experiencing.

I haven't been able to keep much of anything down, including water. I have even ended up throwing up a few things that wouldn't go down. Liquids even!

My advice to everyone: work on willpower! Having to make yourself control your food intake is SO much better than having food in front of you and being hungry but knowing that you will be in horrid pain if you eat any.

The upside, weightloss! It's been great! It almost makes this worth it...almost.

You are doing so well... I am trying willpower, but it is hard...just like always.

I didn't get to finish my original post...so here I am... Well, so I didn't get a fill. I explained to the dr. That I was scared becuase I am the one stopping myself from eating, not the band. That I could eat more.... He said, that's a good thing. The band won't stop you, you will just get sick. So, after numerous times of getting sick you yourself will stop yourself on your own. SO if you can stop on your own without that then you are ahead of the game! I lost 6lbs over the holidays in 4 weeks so I am doing what I should be doing. So if it ain't broke, don't fix it.

I am still really scared. I don't want any of this to be in my control! I can't be trusted! Here I am talking to two ultra skinny people (doc & his assistant) about my fears as a fatty! Ya think they could understand? Well I have another appt in 4 weeks. They said they can fill me then or BEFORE if I start feeling hungry....

Well enough said. I am so glad this is working for me and I am even gladder I am not having any of the horrible complications and side affects many of you are speaking about. I guess 20 lbs in 6 weeks is quite a feat!

I have received a call back from my surgeon and I will be seeing him tomorrow afternoon. They said it is likely that it is either 1) band is too full, 2) band slip or 3) food blockage. I think they will start by removing the fluid in the band and then I will get an x-ray to make sure it hasn't slipped.

I personally feel that it's just too full. I have been reading on here about band slips and I don't think that's what I have. I sure hope not! Anyway, I will update you on my results.

Denise, I am so sorry you are going through this!! I will keep my fingers crossed that they can find and fix the problem ASAP. You must be so uncomfortable! Please keep us posted.... and good luck tomorrow!

Denise, what size band do you have? My first fill was 2 cc in a 4 cc band. I was VERY uncomfortable the day of the fill and a few days. For about 2 weeks, I would eat a "reasonable" amount of food and feel full. Before the 3 week mark, I started feeling hungry. The last week or so I've had days where I'm hungry and days where a little bit of food fills me up. I go in 2 weeks for another fill. My guess is he'll had .75 to 1 cc more. I just don't want the extreme discomfort that I had the first time. I WON'T chug the Water like I did last time!

Slowly I am learning what I need to do. Before my fill I could take pills without crushing them. After my fill (only 1.5 cc in a 4 cc band) I would throw up every day. Sometimes even after liquids! Yesterday I crushed all my pills and didn't throw up once! I'm wondering if maybe my pills was causing blockage. I'm not sure how long it takes those pills to disolve but the last week has been pretty tough. I was afraid to eat! I kept remembering the pain I would get, having to throw up and that would stop me from eating. Yes, the weight loss was great. Almost 1lb per day. Everyday is a learning experience.

Whether it's crushing the pills or not, it seems to be better so I'll keep crushing them. - My fill has definately made a difference.

I hope it is only too full. Please let us know as soon as you can.

I have a 4 cc band. After my first fill, I was very comfortable, no problems at all except that I know a lot of the time, I was keeping myself from eating, not the band. But since my last fill I have had problems. My surgeon had told me that everyone is different. Some people will never have to have a fill and some will have to have the band full. There is no way to know expect by trial and error.

I feel fairly confident that I am just too full and that it's not something else since it all started after my last fill. I have no pain and discomfort except when I try to eat (and once in a while when I drink). For the most part, I haven't been able to eat anything more than a couple tiny bites. There have been a few times that I was able to eat more, probably 1/4 of a cup (estimate) but it has been hard and it took me a couple hours to do so. For the most part however, I have done well with Protein shakes and water. Yesterday for instance, I ate a couple tiny bites of sugar free pudding and then I had pain. I stopped but later in the day I was able to drink a Protein shake.

I am hoping that he will remove half of the last fill to leave my band with 1.5 cc. I am not certain what he will do but whatever it is, it has to beat the pain I have been feeling. I have to say though, it certainly is a huge change for me to have no desire whatsoever to put anything in my mouth!

I will post an update as soon as possible! Thanks everyone for your concern.
