I'm in the never ending stall. Or... I'm done losing?!?! Surgery was 7/31 and I was 288 morning of. First month after surgery, the weight poured off. Now as of today I am 246 and the scale won't move! I eat less than 800 calories per day. I will admit, I don't get all the Protein in I am supposed to but damn close. I have been at this weight for almost a month now and I am so frustrated. I don't eat much which I am ok with but paying 14k CASH I feel stupid!!! Tell me one day it gets better. I exercise. Eat healthy. Don't snack. Ugggghhhhh!

Be brave and be willing to shake things up. Do you use Myfitnesspal? Great way to track everything.

Try adding 100 calories of protien each day this week and see if something happens.

Try cutting your carbs to below 50 grams a day this week too.

Make sure you get in 64 oz of Water and above 60 gm of Protein this week. Be diligent & don't cheat.

If nothing moves, contact your surgeons office to see if they have any recommendations.

PS - I self paid more than you, so I know how scary this can be. Don't give up!!!

Hope this gives you a little comfort that you are not alone.... I was sleeved the day after you 284lbs, got stuck at 254lbs and it took over 20 days to loose the next 3 pounds -NOW finally, about a week ago my stall did end and I am back to loosing about a half pound a day. So there is hope, I decided that I was stuck because that was a weight I had been at back in 2007 for quite a long time. Didn't change much to break the stall just kept doing the right stuff like others above have suggested. I am sure there is some life lesson in waiting out a stall and continuing to do the right things but I do not know what it is~

Ok, I am going to try to b nice. #1 did you take measurements b4 ur surgery?? STAY off the scale daily.... You WILL lose the weight, your # will GO DOWN! so your not seeing your # go down, try on some clothes that you used to wear before surgery............think about it, you have no option but to GO DOWN in # on the scale, your body is in shock... you are losing inches............... you may not see a # change but your body is adjusting... I know how frustrating it is, been there, done that.......... plus if you are working out, remember, muscle weighs more than fat.......that is a good thing............. relax............ let your body adjust, think you are not losing, try on something that was tight on you............... keep on keeping on................. IT WORKS if you are not cheating............. and eating things you are not suppose to be eating...........best

of luck to you.......DRINK THAT WATER! :)

Thanks. I WILl admit. Water is soooo hard to get in each day. I'm a gulper and not a sipper. It's hard to sip all day long. But I'm soooo gonna make that my next priority. Thanks all.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
