  11. Just wanted to give everyone an update. I am 35 years old two kids: 3 and 1. I am 5'7. Surgery was July 31st. My starting weight was 306 and after two week liquid diet, I was 289 day of surgery. Today I start my sixth week (exactly 5 weeks post op) and I was 258 this AM. Just got out of a 5 days stall but prior to that I generally watched the scales move about a pound per day. Gee, sure would be nice if that continued...ohhhh, for about the next 130 days , but I'll take what I can get. This weekend was actually my first experience with real food and all I can say is...I LOVE MY SLEEVE!!!!!!!!! I have had ZERO problems at all thus far. I have not had a problem with anything yet I just can't eat much...thank God! The thing is, I crave good foods and honestly, fried or greasy foods just no longer appeal to me. I already have tons more energy, look better, feel better, get TONS of compliments and I can say this was the BEST thing I have ever done for myself. For those who have struggled with their weight and are looking for something to help them refocus their eating habits...do it do it do it! I know not everyone has such a simple experience but for me...no problems at all!!! Geez...two c-sections were worse than the sleeve surgery, even on the worst days. Pics to come soon. Good luck to all of you waiting for surgery and those new in the journey as I am. Not a SINGLE SOLITARY regret!!!!!
  12. Hi all. Had my sleeve done July 31st. Yesterday was my first time eating real food in 8 weeks. Tried sushi and it was WONDERFUL! My sleeve handled it well. Treated myself once...now, healthy eating here on out! Super excited and I crave good foods now. Have no desire for fried or greasy. Thank God. Just had to post for all the sushi lovers out there.
  13. Need some good ideas for mushies. Tired of fat free retried beans and just cannot phathom blending meat! Ideas please??
  14. Just want to say...overfilling your sleeve...SUCKS!!!! That's why it is soooo important to eat slowly and try not to eat on the go! Lesson learned.
  15. Omg!!!! I feel GREAT!!!!!!! 16 pounds gone since surgery. Not a SINGLE ounce of pain anymore. 34 pounds total loss since July 12 and I feel like I NEVER had surgery. Lovin this new life!
  16. I am 12 days post op today. For me, it's been hard to get liquids in. Well...found the perfect thing to help! Picked up some Matcha powder yesterday from Teavana and have made the perfect drink! 1 tsp Matcha 8 oz Organic Unsweetened Silk 3 Splenda packets 1/2 Packet Carnation Instant Breakfast Vanilla About 8 ice cubes Blend for 2 minutes!! Delicious!! If can help anyone as it has helped me... I'm so glad to share!

  19. From what everyone has told me thus far: a main culprit is the multivitamin. Not sure if you have started yours yet but that is what I was told.

  21. That's why I am soooo concerned. It took me about 10 min to get almost 1 cup!
  22. I am one week out today. I am TRYING to get all the liquids in but it is so hard. I know to fight through it, but I look at the clock and see that has been hours with nada! BAD ME...I am working on it. I just sat down and had Heart Healthy tomato soup and was able to drink 8 ounces!?!?!? I didnt think that was possible. That is what I heated up and I just kept sipping on it until it was just about gone. I know that it will take time to get to know the sleeve, but do you ever feel FULL? I am afraid that I wont know that I am full and stretch "what the doctor gave me".
  23. That's probably exactly it! I have Isopure but it causes a TERRIBLE dry mouth and I can't drink it. I'm on clear liquids only. Any ideas?
  24. Need some words of wisdom. I was sleeved on July 31. They also repaired a hernia at that time. Still pretty sore but my biggest issue is that I feel soooooo HUNGRY!!!!! Help!
  25. Hello again. I was sleeved on Tuesday (7/31) by Dr Kim in Dallas. He said he found a 4cm hiatal hernia that he repaired while inside. Who knew?? Just curious as to how many of you also had a repaired hernia and how you feel it effected your recovery time. I'm 3 days post op and still really sore and SLOW! Lol.
