I Am Incredibly Lazy!

Recommended Posts

Hi there' date='

I am about a month out for surgery and I have no energy. I'm curious as to what natural pills you are/have taken that provides energy. And I'm a little anxious about the pre/post diets. Thanks in advance.[/quote']

You don't need pills for energy. Starting a regular exercise routine, eating more Protein and low GI carbs (green veggies) and dropping the anchor of extra weight (plus the improved self esteem that comes with that) will increase your energy big time.

I take natural greens and vitamins' date=' nothing like what you see on tv or crazy GNC pills[/quote']

What makes the GNC pill crazy? I happen to take an energy pill from them and so far no issues. Knock on wood.

Lol I sorry, didn't mean to call your pills crazy, before I even chose to have surgery I tried every diet and energy pills, majority made my heart race, but everyone is different. Thanx for saying you take a boost pill :) I'm glad I'm not the only one

I bought a treadmill and plopped it right down in front of my television. I record one of my favorite shows but then only allow myself to actually watch the show if I walk on the treadmill.

Try the group exercise classes. I hate the machines at the gym. Free weights help as well.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
