I'm so scared im eating too much. I can eat quite a bit of fish. Is that normal? It's the one Protein that I can eat more of. And no I don't try to stuff it in. I just don't feel restriction as well. Anyone else find that?

How far out are you?

How much do you eat?

Yes different foods fill me up differently, meaning some I can eat more of than others. 4 ounces compared to 2 ounces.

Was sleeved on 5/21 19 weeks out and I'm not sure but it was a catfish fillet from charlie's chicken restaurant. It was pretty big dk how much for sure. But overall I've realized I can eat bigger quantity of fish. Was wondering if anyone else can too?

I love salmon. But I can eat way too much of it.I dont really fill up on it so now we make salmon patties with all kinds of green, red, yellow and orange peppers with onion in it and I can only eat 3 oz of it.

Soft fish goes down like yogurt for me.But shrimp or prawns are solid and it really fills me up nicely and for long.

Dont worry about it.Test yourself with chicken breast, that will show you quickly how little you can really eat.

Salmon I can eat more of then any other meat.... 4oz instead of 2oz. I have also had albacore that is much more dense and dryer and found that I can only do about two ounces. I just make sure to put veggies with the salmon and I am full, I am sure it is because salmon is such a moist and oily fish that it goes down so easy for me.

A soft white fish definately goes down easier/can eat more, but, it is also very low cal, high Protein and good for you.

Three months and four days ago... I was in Costa Rica having a life changing surgery! Yesterday we had a followup visit with Dr. Esmeral via video chat and this morning my middle number changed.  I'm down 47lbs and two pants sizes. I can wear a Large tshirt for the first time in like... 14 years! Woot!! Everything is going great. I have zero regrets. I went down to the riverwalk with a friend and walked 2 miles on Monday without even getting fatigued. And no more snoring or chugging pickle juice for crazy leg cramps! I need to go to the gym more... I'm making new shirts next week so that will motivate me. LOL But I'm also just not as TIRED all the time! I have a LONG way to go...but seeing the progress on the scales and in the mirror is a huge motivator!! Thank you all for cheering me on and supporting me!!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.
