where can I go that they accept Blue cross of de

Recommended Posts

I have a scheduled OR date of 10/3106. I see the pulmonologist this Monday and I am finished with the dr's and all is o, I don't have any breathing problems so i expect this last visit to be cleared. But today I learned the the surgeons in Delaware are no longer going to accept Blue Cross, any suggestions? I'm freaking out after all this work and worry.

Hi there MIMI,

I assume you have gone to CHRIAS. Try not to worry about the BC/BS thing. What it means is that they are in negotiations for how much the insurance wants to pay and how much the doc charges. My suggestion is to get everything done--as far as all of your other doc stuff and wait out CHRIAS. I think they will know in the next week or so.

I just had a LAPBAND on 9/13 and have BC/BS of DE. Even if there is a problem--I don't know of other surgeons--there are none in any other county than NC.

good luck.

it will work out and all of the work you are doing will be worth it. I felt the same way. Had my 2 week today and have lost 13 lbs.

I too heard from my insurance company that they are back in negotiations (this after receiving a letter stating they would no longer take my insurance at all!)

They should reach a decision soon and BC/BS said that they are confident I'll continue to have some sort of coverage.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
