Where Are Your Incisions?

Recommended Posts

I've noticed people referencing incisions and they all seem to be a bit different in location. Mine are roughly centered between my breasts and my belly button, a small one, the biggest one (about an inch and a quarter) a 3/4 inch one and my Jp port drain wound. I also have one small incision directly under where my bra sits. Does this sound similar to anyones?

I had a single incision at my belly button.

I have one small at my sternum, and four across my belly in an even row above my belly button. The too on each side are tiny.

I have one just below my left breast, slightly to the center

One each, larger incisions 3-4 inches below each breast.

One larger one slightly to the left and about 4" above my belly button.

One medium one 3-4" below the right breast, and in line with the other one below the breast.

Finally, the drain hole is below the left breast 3-4" and in line with the other one below that breast.

The smaller one just below the left breast and toward the center, had a scab get ripped off when I went for my post-op appointment. I had a bra on for the first time--very uncomfortable...and I sneezed, hence ripping off the scab. I was actually finished with the post-op appointment and at the nutrition appointment, and had to go back to the surgeon to get it looked at.

Wearing a bra is very hard for me because my insicaions are mostly in the bra range...and get pulled on by the bra, or rubbed by it.

One right below my left breast. One lower right rib cage, right inside my gall bladder incision. Then three more parallel with my belly button left side of stomach.... The biggest pain I am having was from the adhesions that he had to remove from prior surgeries... Oh and they are all super glued... which kind of grossed me out to start with LOL...

Ha! Mine are super glued too! I shower daily an the glue hasn't come completely off yet, but it's lifting. So creepy. It's amazing how different some of the placements are. I can't complain, my largest is barely an inch and a quarter, I've certainly got stretchmarks bigger than that! :)

I have 7 incisions scattered under both breasts and one at my bellybutton. I also had my gall bladder out so maybe that is why I had more????

I have a picture. I had 6 incisions. A small one is between my breasts. And 5 others spread out randomly on my belly. One just where my belly button goes in, it's about an inch across. One on my right side just below where my ribs end (3/4 inch) one on my left side in about the same spot, maybe a little higher up, it's about 1.5 in across, and two between my belly button & the incision on my left side. One of them is close to an inch, the other is maybe 1/2 in or less. It's not the prettiest picture, and I was pretty puffy & swollen but I will try to post it if you are that interested. :)

Here you go. Disregard my undies lol. The one with the dried blood/clot is the one they had issues with bleeding from. I need to take an updated picture. :-)

Oh and the thing in the center of my stomach is where I had a mole removed, not from the surgery!

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
