I was sleeved on 9/5 and am doing great. My incisions are the only thing that makes me even feel like I had surgery. I have no more pain, gas, nausea, etc. I'm getting used to the pureed food diet but definitely looking forward to moving on to the next stage in a few weeks. I'm down 24 pounds since surgery!

I was sleeved on 9/10 and so far am down 12 pounds from the morning of my surgery.

I still have one more week on the full liquid diet - I can't wait to get to my soft food phase.

I was sleeved on the 7th. Doctor said I could start trying any food I want on my post op visit on the 18th. So I have tried turkey, chicken, ham and veggies. Cut up small and chewed good. I have had no problems. Down 17 pounds in 13 days. So basically I skipped the puréed diet part. I know everyone and every doctor is different and it also depends on what size boogie your docs use. Mine used a 40 boogie. Tomorrow is my birthday and I plan to try to eat chicken fajita meat. The only thing is, after 3 bites I am full.

I was sleeved September 14th and today I am down 21 lbs! surgery was no big deal at all.. with the exception of my reaction to anesthesia. Both times I have had surgery I woke up VIOLENTLY ill and so I spent the first night after surgery violently dry heaving into a trash can... threw up so hard I had broken blood vessels on my face LOL I was worried that I mighta busted my staple line or something it was so bad but 2 leak tests were perfect and after the vomiting that first night I haven't had any problems whatsoever. I only needed minor pain meds that first night of surgery and then none after that. I was even sleeping on my stomach the 2nd night LOL have only had nausea one time since and it lasted about 15 minutes after I ate one too many bites of a creamy Soup.. still trying to get used to knowing when I'm full and so far the best way for me to tell is that I start burping hahaha I eat VERY slow now too. I was on clear liquids for 1 week and now full liquids for 1 week then I can try out some pureed foods. I am taking it slow though, I wanna keep Elvira (that's what I named my sleeve) happy!!! :P

As of today I feel that this is one of the best decisions I've ever made for myself! I am SO glad I did this and I feel blessed that I've had such an easy recovery!

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
