lol.. when i go in for my consultation, i'm going to be like..

so tell me.... how many people have you and your anesthesiologist killed? should i run out & get a bunch of life insurance? can i meet the anesthesiologist before surgery? give me 3 reasons i should pick you... and most importantly... are you prepared to handle this much awesomeness?

lol and then i will get serious.. everyone else has great questions. :) i'd be really concerned with their complication rates & how many surgeries they've done... because you want someone with lots of experience & few people with complications... i'd also ask if there were any former patients i could talk with & see what their experience was like with the surgeon.. did he do great follow up care & come see you, or just kick you out of the hospital like you were an unfaithful spouse?.. lol do they offer any kind of leak protection?.. what if you develop complications later on?... will the pain medicine & other medicine for potential problems (acid reflux or whatever) conflict with my current medications? how much do you think i could lose within 1 year? when can i start to exercise after surgery? what kind of pre-op diet requirements do you have, if any? how much weight do i need to lose, if any, to have my surgery? when can you sign me up? how often will i have to come back & see you after surgery & after i'm healed? can you give me a note or card that has your contact information & informs restaurants that i eat smaller portions & will allow me to eat off the kid's menu?... can you hook me up with a medical Bracelet like diabetics have, so if i'm ever in unconscious or something happens to me, the health care providers know not to stick a tube down my throat & damage my sleeve?.. what kind of staples would you use to close my stomach? what if one of my incisions comes open when i'm at home?.. what kind of stuff can i eat when i come home from the hospital? etc..

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
