Have you tried the chocolate flavor? If so, how was the taste? I see they have chocolate and Dutch chocolate. Also, I would be very interested in a review on the alpine punch flavor.

I didn't try chocolate flavors, only fruits and tea. They come ready to drink in a bottle. wasn't cheap but for me was the beast.

I would strongly recommend you go to a Vitamin Shoppe (or something similar near you) and try individual bottles of products before you order a bunch online. Vitamin Shoppe will give you a refund if you don't like a product (return it with the receipt). Personally, I love chocolate Muscle Milk Lite (its sugar free, sweetened with sucralose), and powders?utm_source=BariatricPal&utm_medium=Affiliate&utm_campaign=CommentLink" target="_ad" data-id="1" >unjury chicken broth flavored Protein powder. I've tried three different flavors of the ready-to-drink Isopure drinks, and found them to be disgustingly sweet (truly undrinkable, even diluted with water). Another high-protein product you can get samples of (just email the company) is Gelatein 20...packs 20 grams of Protein in a little 4oz cup of "jello".

Best of luck!

Laura

I am pre-op (9-20-12). I've done some taste-testing and ordering to get ready for when I go to the liquid diet and for post-op. I've found unjury @ www.unjury.com. I got the unflavored and chicken broth. They have bariatric Vitamins as well.

Just this weekend, I went to GNC to get some pre-made Isopure. They have several flavors; grape frost, apple melon, alpine punch, blue raspberry and pineapple orange banana. I have had one just to see how it would go. I tried the pineapple, orange, banana. I found that it wasn't horrible. But like I said, I'm pre-op. Who knows how my tastebuds will change post-op. I also tolerate the Protein shakes very well.

Good luck! :)

Not to rain on your parade or anything...but....beware...your taste buds may change dramatically after your surgery has been performed. Many people (on this site) talk about this issue, and I've experienced it myself (I used to LOVE watermelon.....can't much stand the taste of it now :( ).

I tried all the Isopure RTD flavors pre-op & only liked the Grape Frost & Blue Raspberry. Now I am a week post-op & still drinking the Grape Frost but adding 2 oz of Grape juice to it to mask the whey Protein taste. That keeps the carbs low, the liquid is still clear & I don't have to worry about getting in my Protein.

I can guarantee you when I get to go on full liquids later this week, I will be done with grape anything! My other "go to" is nectar protein & Isopure unflavored.

I tried 6 Isopure flavors and hated them all. Don't over buy... sample. It is so hard to know what you will like post-op and even 3 weeks post-op my likes for certain things changed again. My favorite was the syntax nectar Cappuccino and crystal sky ( kind of coconut tropical) I go 11 sample packs from BJsbariatrics.com and VSTalk is a code for $7.50 off a $30 order. And when 17 days post op I could no longer tolerate the chewable Celebrate Vitamins I thought tasted like candy after surgery... so they exchanged them for the capsules I wanted. GREAT service!

I tried the nectar Protein, and found to really like it, it's doesn't have the "protein kick" I found that Isopure has. Nectar also has fruit or sweer flavors!! My husband likes the Lean Body Protein, which I have tasted and to me is to sweet.... Not sure if it's a zero carb protein though.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
