Ok abdominal pains feels like I worked out to hard kinda soreness Plus the gas has kicked in. The nurse just gave me my first cup of ice. I will take it slow though. I'm able to get up on my own with no assistance to pee(maybe tmi) but I think it's the small things pre opers may want. Grateful for the advice given here about splinting with additional pillow. So far so good....

Well. I had my op yesterday. Today I feel like I've been hit by a train. I can barely get any water down me without indigestion and pains. I've been throwing up a lot so they're keeping me another night. I might get hope on Monday if I'm lucky. I'm trying to remind myself why I did this.

That should say Home, not hope.

Sorry to heat the nausea is getting to you, did they give you the patch to put on the morning of? That's the only thing that's keeps me from having those same issues from the anesthesia..... Here to a speedy recovery to skinnyville!!!!

Happy for those who are doing well. I hope to be there soon. day 2 for me. will be going home today. the pain has deceased somewhat but I still have to take it slow. Food needs to be room temp or less but it stays down if I go slow enough

Luckily(or not) standing up fast is not an option at this point

Sleeved Oct 1, think I'm hitting 3week stall. Started preop diet Sept 18, started at 277, day of surgery 260, 1week post op 250, and today I'm still 250. Not too worried, thanks to all the info I've learned on VST!

Spent day sorting my clothes- pulled out some 18's and 16's that I hope to wear soon!

Oh!! Monday the 15th seems right around the corner AND forever away. Make any sense? Tomorrow (Friday) is my last day of work. Really panicking. Heart is racing. Can't sleep. And I admit' date=' I'm wanting to eat everything in sight! I'm trying my best to avoid it...I started my preop diet on September 29 and lost 10 pounds and now I'm feeling defiant when it comes to food. Saturday at 7am begins my all clear fluids only for the bowel cleanse.

Anyone going through this??

I'm Scheduled for Monday the 15th at 7:30 am. On the pre op diet which is 600-800 calories. Tomorrow (Sunday) is clear liquids only. I've lost 10 lbs so far.

I understand what you mean about the defiant part. Last night a friend brought Wendy's for her daughter and then came to visit. She left a portion of her burger behind and I took a small piece. It was heaven. I haven't really been eating beef at all. Good luck.

I'm October 15th' date=' been on optifast and I've been told to fast from midnight, I go in at 10:30am. No mention of clear liquids at all is this ok??

So nervous!![/quote']

Bella, I am the 15th as well. On the 14th I can only have CLEAR LIQUIDS and nothing after midnight. Good Luck!

Ok so I've slept a lot today and feel 10 times better than I did this morning now I've stopped throwing up. I could barely sip water this morning but now I've just had some soup, hot chocolate and tea. Things are looking up!

Scopolamine is a patch that goes behind your ear for nausea. Helped me so much. They put it on me in surgery holding. Looks like a really small bandaid.

I'm alive and well...revision went well and now sleeved..lots of pain and gas..stayed I'm the hospital an extra day...but home now sipping on water and sf popsicles..

Thanks for all the prayers and encouragement!!

Chad, the scopalomine helped within minutes. They had forgotten to place it in recovery. I am home now for about 20 min. Daughter made sf jello. A little goes a long way. Who'd have thought jello could be so filling
