Miralax is a laxative, it softens ur stools and makes u go easily but it can take 2-4 days to work I had to take it yesterday and today and surgery tomorrow it's only makin my stomach gurgle so I wonder if it's for after surgery to help me! Lol

The stuff they are having me take is called GoLytely. Love the name. I think they lied...lol. I basically have to drink 4 quarts of this drink in 4 hours the night before, which is tonight. I'm having a hard time getting that much liquid down in that amount of time. Oh well, it could be worse. Luckily I am not suffering from painful cramps or anything.

Hey guys! I'm doing so good! I was sleeved on oct.3 I would say the first 3 days are rough but today I actually went to the mall & went shopping for about 2 hours. Now my back was hurting pretty bad but my stomach doesn't. I even took a bath last night & tonight. Just water right under my belly button but it felt so nice! Wasn't hard to get out either... There is no pain or discomfort in my stomach anymore. Protein is so hard getting in! Water isn't that bad. Any advice on protein? Or things to eat?

Four days out from surgery and I am sorry to report that I'm one of the folks with pain after coming home. Not a ton and not unmanageable' date=' but if you hurt afterwards don't worry. We're all (mostly) normal.

I have yet to be actually hungry, but I want to smell everyone's food! I don't want anything more than a good long sniff. How are our other post-sleevers doing?[/quote']

I'm 5 days post op & I hear ya...food smells so good. I'm not in any pain my back just hurts a little

You too!!!! Good luck!

My surgery is in the morning also...i have to be there at 7: 00am surgery scheduled for 9am...good luck to everyone!!!

Mine too same time !!!

Im on a all clear liquid diet too...omg its pretty tough. Do you constantly have to go to the bathroom for your bowles (sorry tmi) I guess its normal..liquid in...liquid out? Argh! Lol

Strangly enough, Im pretty regular in that room so mines didn't seem very odd :)....lotta going though! Three more days til I can start thinkn about something other than this diet. Yippppeeee!

Who provides you with post op food after u get back to Marriott and what does your companion eat while there?

I am getting nervous, first off I get sleeved Oct 24 and have appointments on Oct 18, nothing yet on preop diet. I will be put on the liquid diet and will have to drink miralx or whatever. I hear a lot of you are on liquid diets for 2 weeks. My doc had said nothing about this. I have been eating foods I should not be eating but I feel like someone on death row getting my last meal. I hope my liver has time to shrink. I guess my doc knows what he's doing.

Tomorrow starts my protien shake only 2 week diet. Had my food funeral last night so started the shakes a day early. Day one wasn't miserable :) Hoping I can keep my mind right for the rest of the two weeks. Surgery on the 23rd! Good luck and best wishes to all of my fellow October sleevers!

My date is oct 24. 2 week diet starts tomorrow!
