Did you have trouble sleeping the night before your surgery? I'm having mine done today and I can't sleep at all.

I hope you get to feeling better soon.

Surgery done Monday Oct 15! I am feeling great now' date=' but honestly fe lt like a mess this morning. I awoke with a lot of pain and nausea. After the nausea wa controlled I felt so much better and have not needed any pain meds. Hope everyone else feels as good as I do :)

I hope my recovery is as good as yours.

Concerned post week two I can drink a premier shake in twenty minutes. Is that too fast? Had surgery 10/8

Also want to confess I did not measure my Soup closely last pm and today. A belly ache and first nausea in a while scared me tonight. So I am back to thinner full liquids, think the roasted tomato soup was too much, and measuring. No guess work. I did not have lortab all day until now. Hopefully that is it. It's helping. Done so well, how could I let a little boredom and carelessness put me at risk for a leak.

Amigie it's normal, don't fight it

I shopped after my surgery in August. You do not want to lie in bed' date=' it feels better to get out and move around. You may not want to count on her being out for long periods of time but 2 to 3 hours at a time, with places to sit and time to drink some fluids, she should be OK. I had a very easy recovery, was sleeved in MX and flew home 3 days after surgery. Once I got home I felt much more weak and tired than right after surgery.[/quote']

Thank you that helps a lot :)

I drink 16 oz in 15-20 minutes of crystal light of skinny Water, no trouble going down. I can drink my muscle mile light, or pure Protein in 10 minutes. I have NO trouble at all. My surgeon told me, that that is great progress. I want proof he took out 85% of my stomach! I was so hungry, i had pureed tuna salad last evening, two days ahead of scheduled. It was like 3 ounces, and I ate it in about 20 minutes. Felt very satisfied, but not too full. Still not hungry this morning. That said, my scale hasn't moved in 5 days, and I am only 13 days out.

Done Did It!

Today is day one of my preop diet and I've had one shake and I'm hungry... I knew day three and four were days I would struggle but the morning of day one is not giving me much hope for success.

Today is my sleeve day!!!

House is clean

Medicine is here and all ready at my night stand

My mom is going to take care of my dogs, cat and birds.

Fridge and countertop are stalked with powder and liquid protein...

All preop tests are done and I preregistered yesterday at the hospital.

I think I'm ready....here goes!!!

I'll check in after surgery :-)

Chapstick, toothbrush and gas strips...cell phone and charger.

Thank you for sharing. Yesterday, I could eat a lot more than usual. In my emotional eating, took advantage of that. Lesson learned slow down and wait cause felt ill most of last evening. This is only post op day 8 for me.
