  1. You look awesome and so much younger! Eek! I cant wait!
  2. My PCP nurse just called me about my lab results from our annual physicals. I have been "categorized" because Im obese! They said I am pre hypertensive (my blood pressure is always 120/80) and pre diabetic (my blood glucose is 92). My cholesterol is considered borderline high which I'm aware of but to categorize me because Im overweight is not fair. I guess its a good thing Im having surgery... wonder what else they could say I have without me actually having it! Grr!!
  3. October 29!!! Did anyone else have to wait that long? Seems like a long wait but anywho, I'll take it! Super excited!!!
  4. Dr.s office told me I would get a surgery date on Friday... several days later, still haven't heard from them. I called yesterday and they told me I would receive a call yesterday. Has everyone gone through this?! Surely they know I'm super anxious... why don't they just take 5 minutes out of their day to schedule my appointment?!
  5. I love this forum! It has been so helpful! I am anxiously waiting for my doctors office to call me with a surgery date! The anticipation is killing me! Good luck to you!
  6. Me! I am waiting for my doctor to call with a surgery date! The anticipation is killing me!!!
  7. Today is my last appointment before I get my surgery date! Fingers crossed my NUT approves me. This is my third time seeing her. So super excited to be this close!
  8. Cigna has changed their requirements from 6 month pre-op to 3 month pre-op. Im in month 5 right now so Im getting my surgery date and start 2 week pre-op diet next week! Eek! How did it get here so fast?! Am I ready?! Lots of mixed emotions right now. So so so thankful for this forum!
  9. Congrats! I love the pictures everyone posts ; it gives me so much to look forward to!
  10. Back on! Thanks to everyone who helped get this fixed!
  11. I am so sorry to tie up space with this post but I use the VST app on my cell phone and I havent been able to get it to "contact remove site" all day. I will die without it!!! Has anyone else experienced this problem? Thanks! Emily
  12. Stories like this make me so excited and anxious! I have 2 more months and then I'll get to rock a sleeve! Congratulations!
  13. Met with my NUT yesterday one on one and she told me I can only have protein shakes twice a week as a meal replacement before I hit the pre-op stage. I just wondered why she would say that. I love the protein shakes and they keep me full between meals. ALSO... I didn't do 100% well in the two weeks since I've seen her so I have to go back for her to see my journal before I can get a surgery date. Surely she doesn't expect me to be great at watching what I eat; I am trying to break 29 years of bad eating habits... **Frustrated**
  14. I am going to meet with my NUT one on one today. Surgery should be late September/ early October. I have seen lots of posts about regretting surgery the first few weeks after but it subsides eventually... can anyone go into detail about how they felt physically/ what they thought/ emotions. I am notorious for giving up (hence the weight problem) and I'd like to prepare myself for whats to come.
  15. I know exactly how you feel... Ive questioned myself throughout this journey but I think you need to remember two things... one, why you began your journey in the first place and two, I've heard people say "you may have complications due to surgery but you can also have complications due to keeping the weight on". Good luck to you! I cant wait to get my surgery date! God bless you and your decisions!
  16. Awesome story! Welcome this is a great group of people!
  17. I haven't been sleeved yet. My NUT said to begin the transition of earing healthier and working out. It just doesn't feel like I can do it.
  18. How long until I don't have a headache because I cant have caffeine? How long until I eat 1/2 cup of low fat cottage cheese and 1/2 cup of pineapple for breakfast and I feel full until lunch? This pain doesn't seem worth it!!!!! (even though deep down I know it is). I have 2 months until surgery and I'm trying to get things straightened out but its sooooooo hard!
  19. I've gained about 5 pounds since this journey began... my thinking (which I know is so bad) is, I'm not going to enjoy this food ever again so I need to enjoy it now. Today I have started journaling and I'm joining the gym. My NUT made a great comment in that the surgery is pretty life altering, trying to eat healthier and begin a workout regimen is too much at one time. I'm pretty excited... wish me luck!
  20. My 6 months of PCP visits will be done in September. Not sure how long it will take for my insurance company to approve and get a surgery date but I am so excited I can hardly stand it! Im hoping for an end of September/ beginning of October date! Good luck to everyone preparing for surgery soon!
  21. Congrats to you both! Wouldn't it be so nice to have already had this surgery with the way the weather is?! It's soooo HOT!!! I have my nut and psych appointment next week! So excited
