How Does One Lose 2 Pants Sizes With The Scale Not Moving

Recommended Posts

I went and bought a kayak that came it said with a size large adult life vest. I put it on and said, "Hm, guess i wear a large." I took it off and the thing said "Adult Small/Medium"

Does that officially make you a skinny b***h? I think I could be underweight and still not wear a small. You guys suck. ;)

I was thrilled to put on my 22 pants the other day, then realized they're actually 24. Bah.

I have been at 263 for a bit. However , I have lost 2 pant sizes in the process. It does seem weird but hey I will take it. lol

In the midst of my love-hate relationship with the scale, I have managed to lose inches and drop a few clothes sizes...miraculously.

Skinny b***h. That's good :D . Under all this blubber I am very petite, yet a little curvy. At 5'1" and small bones I tended to wear X-Small clothes. I don't think i can go back to that though - not unless I had plastics. The boob skin isn't shrinking much, but they are deflated. I've got the skirt/apron thing going. It's not noticeable under clothes, but BAH!

I wouldn't mind a little height on me dang it!

It'll come off. We're all in the long haul. This is going to be an ongoing thing so if it takes 1 year, two years or three -- We are still smaller and healthier than before and we get to have that for the rest of our lives.

YAY sleeve!

You know what trips me out a bit. Those folks that started this journey at a 30 BMI. I;m a 30 now and feel super fit. I guess it's all relative huh?

Well, I'm tall (5'10 give or take) and I think that just means my droopy skin has farther to distort.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
