Having A Hard Time Getting Back Into Work Mode...anyone Else?

Recommended Posts

Last week was my first week back at work and I so don't want to work! I feel a little depressed. I'm definitly tired and don't have the energy level. I have the luxury of working from home but it is a very demanding job and I am out in the field most days....it's been a great job and I've been very successful at it....but I think I've lost the love of the job....it comes with a lot of headaches and stress (I run the OC division for this company) and I feel like I want to quit - but I know I can't. It's like once I had the time off (I haven't taken any real time off in 2 years) and real downtime, I can't seem to get my drive/desire back.....has anyone else experienced this?

I have not gone back to work yet, but I already know the same thing will be happening to me. I am actually nervous about being able to get all the Water and Protein in when I am running around the whole day and for the particular work I do I cannot always have a bottle with me.

Hope someone has some suggestions for us! =)

I am an august sleever also and use to live in the OC!

Good luck!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Anyone had the TORe procedure? How did it go? How much weight did you loose?

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
