How Long Before I Can Drink A Soda Or A Zipp Fizz?

Recommended Posts

I'm 6 weeks out. ... and i was a very occasional soda person before surgery.. but do crave it especially to quench my thirst... at a recent family function i accidentally out of habit drank 7-up after gulping it and realizing it.. i was on panic mode just waiting to see the outcome and it did give me a very uncomfortable and bad stomach acke so won't do that again ... like all the other comments i would wait a very long time to try it...

My doctor used to tell his patients no to sodas but after long research he has now said no carbonated drinks for the first 4 weeks. Dr Barker is a huge soda pop person himself and said that he can not see telling his patients that never ever again can they have a soda and that after his research he has found that having a soda once in a while doesnt hurt.

I could careless about soda/pop...I love flavored seltzer water(not the sweetened crap). It's so much more carbonated tho. So, that's probably totally out.

Haven't had pop in nearly 1.5 yrs.... I've "tested" it but 1 sip frankly anything carbonated now feels super uncomfortable and way too sweet so I don't bother at all. Pre-op, I had soda EVERY SINGLE DAY.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
