Recommended Posts

Hi May Sleevers! I was sleeved May 14th and I am down 61 lbs! I am super happy and I feel pretty much normal now that I am 3 months out. How's everyone doing??

Looks like we are EXACTLY on the same track! I was also sleeved on May 14 and I'm down about the same amount of weight! I go through a "stall" every month for about 10-12 days, but this is now my 3rd time going through it, so I don't feel upset by it any more.

Feeling great.....much more active and able to exercise without getting too short of breath. I've given up all my asthma meds!

Also enjoying getting into all the clothes I had kept from my last substantial weight loss (100 lbs!) back in 2006. Soon I'll be too small for those though....then some shopping (cheap!) until I get to goal (135 lbs).

Hope everyone is doing well and happy with their progress and new lives!

That is awesome! I am feeling so much better too. I used to get winded after a flight or two of stairs. I guess having 60lbs off your back helps!

May 23rd, as of last Saturday I was down 67lbs. Not bad considering this is with 0 exercise. Knee & ankle problems have kept me down for the last month. And TBH, I was just lazy the first month.

May 21st is my day. I am at 61 and feeling great. I have a similar experience of 10-12 days stalled then a loss every month. I'm super happy.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Anyone had the TORe procedure? How did it go? How much weight did you loose?

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
