Query about eating and headache...

Recommended Posts

Yeah, I've heard of "boot" but Wheetsin, Canucks don't call it a boot. NOR do we call a car hood a bonnet. I never even HEARD that! The guy must be from the UK originally or something (or his family?).

I thought a bonnet was the hat the Ingalls' girls wore!!! LOL. And, no we don't wear 'em here. Wellllll, maybe Argon wears one....but the rest of us Canucks don't!!!

:biggrin1:

Hi, Nanabana here. Maybe you are having allergic reations to your foodsmor liquids. I'm highly allergic to Nutra Sweet. It's also called aspertaine (spelling?). I can get splitting Migraine with it. There could also be some allergies that you have. Good luck with finding out the problem. nana

The vagus nerve arises in the cranium and makes a long pathway to many internal organs....and there is a proposed anatomical model describing antidromal nerve signal traveling along back it's course, to carry noxious stimuli we perceive just as you describe.

That may not be your actual 'stop eating' because you have had enough, rather, it may be because of the altered physical configuration of the stomach and pouch, which stimulates the vagus in an unusual manner, which eventually our CPU brain figures out how to interpret.

Vagal nerve irritation can and does produce a wide variety of symptoms from head aches to a dozen others....

Don't get me started, I'm not ready to get into another rant about nerve function...yet....

That sucks! Do you think it could be allergy related. I know this time of year I am sensitive to just about everything. Weird things happen to me. Ya, Ya, give me your best shot.

Now, maybe I'm wrong, sometimes I'm not very observant, but has your ticker gone down lately, I coulda swore you were at around 43-45 lbs down, no? Your only 2 pounds away from fifty....WOW!!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Your so close now! It's gonna be great :) Wishing you a speedy recovery and looking forward to seeing how it goes!

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
