Neenagh's Nutty Nattering

Recommended Posts

Hi Astrotoes, I initially picked a goal weight of 150-155, the doc told me that was too ambitious. so i moved it up to 160. but i since have rethought about it and put it up to 165 cuz i'm not so young :) and the old mug is starting to sag as the weight comes off.

well, i have completely lost it. i went out at lunch time (afternoon shift) and bought two reeses Peanut Butter cup pkgs. thats a total of 6 pb cups! I ATE THEM ALL!!!. it just felt so good to eat something and not have it hurt (since my fill/defill debacle), but at the same time, i was telling myself that i was gonna regret it, and boy am i sad now. How could i sabotage myself like that?!?! Geez! its not like i have some trauma going on or new stressors in my life. WTF?

to sum up: my dinner consisted of sugar, fat and chemicals :scared:

ps tomorrow is weigh in day to top it all off:(

oh, i almost forgot, an nsv, before the whole ugly reeses thing!

this morning i was clean out the shoe closet and started trying on all my summer shoes and sandals, deciding which to throw out. Well they were all WAY TOO BIG!!! I mean my feet were falling out of them too big! hugely too big! so my nsv is that my feet are no longer fat:rolleyes: !

Awesome news with the shoes! And don't stress about the Peanut Butter cups... it happens. I had the most amazing 'Chocolate Explosion' cake from Boston pizza the other night... ahhhh...

and anyways, I think it takes more than a day for a slip up to catch up with ya :scared: I think your weigh-in will be good!

Hey Neenaugh, it's okay, we do stuff like that from time to time. WERE HUMAN. If it makes you feel any better, I've been struggling, too. I've been making stuff like sheppards pie, french onion Soup, all the stuff that goes down well, just cause I feel like eating. I seem to be stuck on 264:cry (wonder why), my oldest daughter thing is really getting to me:cry , blah, blah, blah, boo hoo me. I know I'm going to get thru this, and next thing you know, I'll be posting big loses again, AND SO WILL YOU!!!! Let's all stick together, we have this sight, each other, our band and wonderful HOPE for the future. But alas, we are human!!!:D

thanks guys! it's good to know i'm not the only one who screws up!

Cloe, the situation with your dtr is a tremendous stressor, i am totally in awe of you keeping it together under such circumstances, plus being wed to a high falutin' political mover and shaker. when i had bad teenagers i ate myself into oblivion!!!

ps. my ticker went UP by .2 *sigh* it could be worse.

On day 4 of the 2 week liquid pre-op diet. Surgery scheduled for June 11th.
Soooo I am coming to a realization
of something and I'm not sure what to do about it. For years the only thing I've enjoyed is eating. We rarely do anything or go anywhere and if we do it always includes food. Family comes over? Big family dinner! Go camping? Food! Take a short ride or trip? Food! Holiday? Food! Go out of town for a Dr appointment? Food! When we go to a new town we don't look for any attractions, we look for restaurants we haven't been to. Heck, I look forward to getting off work because that means it's almost supper time. Now that I'm drinking these pre-op shakes for breakfast, lunch, and supper I have nothing to look forward to.  And once I have surgery on June 11th it'll be more of the same shakes. Even after pureed stage, soft food stage, and finally regular food stage, it's going to be a drastic change for the rest of my life. I'm giving up the one thing that really brings me joy. Eating. How do you cope with that? What do you do to fill that void? Wow. Now I'm sad.

Three months and four days ago... I was in Costa Rica having a life changing surgery! Yesterday we had a followup visit with Dr. Esmeral via video chat and this morning my middle number changed.  I'm down 47lbs and two pants sizes. I can wear a Large tshirt for the first time in like... 14 years! Woot!! Everything is going great. I have zero regrets. I went down to the riverwalk with a friend and walked 2 miles on Monday without even getting fatigued. And no more snoring or chugging pickle juice for crazy leg cramps! I need to go to the gym more... I'm making new shirts next week so that will motivate me. LOL But I'm also just not as TIRED all the time! I have a LONG way to go...but seeing the progress on the scales and in the mirror is a huge motivator!! Thank you all for cheering me on and supporting me!!
