I think you are referring to P90X the exercise program...If so, I don't know a lot about the program othern than some co-workers would get together and do it and the few times I watched them exercise...it looked really intense. I don't think I would be ready and I have been walking the treadmill at the gym for an hour at least 3-4 days a week. I have increased my incline and pace and I would still not be ready for P90X.

Yes that's it P90X. It is intense to say the least. I reckon this would something to think about way down the road.

Thank you. :)

My family has owned the regular power 90 series for maybe 5 years? I used it for about six months and my brother and father have used it for a few years now. It's not as hard as the P90X but does have 2 difficulties, and even when I was lighter it gave me a pretty good workout even just at the low level. I would definitely try something like this before starting the P90X, but that's just me. The dvd has gotten tons of use, and I would definitely recommend it. I'm a pretty big fan in general of the beach body videos (Except brazilian booty lift - I didn't enjoy that one as much, but my dvd player only wanted to play it in Spanish..)

P90X IS EXTREMELY INTENSE. I THINK YOU SHOULD TRY THE 10-MINUTE TRAINER FIRST. THE 10-MINUTE TRAINER WAS CREATED BY THE SAME PERSON (TONY HORTON) BUT IT'S A CONDENSED VERSION. START OFF SLOW THEN WORK YOUR WAY UP. I HAVE P90X BUT HAVEN'T DARED TO TRY IT YET. I KNOW I'M NOT PHYSICALLY READY. LOL.

There is a fit text that tells you if you are ready for P90X: http://www.beachbody.com/text/products/programs/p90x/p90xFitTest_Rev010809.pdf

Power 90 is probably a better place to start if you haven't been exercising.

I agree with the above comments. Start with one of the other programs like slim in 6, ten min trainer or power 90. Once you can complete two rounds of one of those programs...give p90x a try. This is my plan. After two rounds of p90x........then its insanity....pray for me.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...
