I'm almost 8-months out and my diet is pretty normal. I tend to stay between 1000-1100 calories a day. I'm bad because I do drink coffee and eat a bag of popcorn all the time. I do try and keep protien first. Good luck.

Nearly 7 months out. 10 pounds to goal.

eggs and cheese for Breakfast, Protein chunks for lunch and dinner;(Chicken or turkey meatballs, left-over whatever), Organo Gold coffee throughout day. I eat left-overs from restaurant visits and what the "normal" part of the family doesn't eat. I try to get some green stuff in every day and a little fruit. Milk on occasion. Lots of Water.< /p>

I don't have any sleeve forbidden foods that I avoid. Small portions, though.

I'm 8 months post op and have reached a plateau! I'm on a horrible sweet binge that I can't shake. I know I have to get back to my Protein Shakes. My initial weight was 287 lbs. I had surgery 12/30/11. I'm down to 205 and can't seem to get under the 200 lb mark. Ive been bad n I have to get back on track!!

I love me some smartones white cheddar popcorn. My starting weight was 210lbs now I'm 174lbs I think I'm moving too slow.

I am almost 8 months out. For breakfast i usually have an egg and a Jimmy Dean turkey sausage link, and then some red grapefruit sections from the jar. For snack I have either a cheese stick or Babybel cheese round. For lunch I have ready made Starkist tuna in the pouch on Wasa cracker with cheese under the broiler, or turkey lunch meat with muenster cheese and bread and butter stacker slice. I usuall have about 2 oz. of cottage cheese a day. In the afternoon I have a RTD Protein Drink that has at least 24 g of Protein. For dinner I have 1/2 pork chop or steak, or burger patty, or chicken and some cut up Tomato or green vegetable. I hate ground turkey so i always use ground beef. If I make a batch of won ton cupckaes, I usually make the lasagna, patty melt, or cheeseburger ones, and eat those for lunch instead. I really watch my carbs and do not eat bread anymore. I still have trouble getting in 1,000 calories a day. I don't even count calories anymore, mainly watch my carbs. I am at my goal and I weigh everyday to make sure I am on track. Some people don't werigh ever day, but I always have and always will. It works for me. Luv my sleeve!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
