Sleeved June 4Th & Lost 45.2 Lbs.

Recommended Posts

My starting weight was 340 lbs & as of today aug. 8th, I weigh 294.8. I haven't been under 300 in at least 9 yrs, & it feels so goooood. Besides having my kids this surgery is the best thing that has happened in my life.

Having this surgery, took awhile to adjust, but I thank God for it. I feel like I got my life back.

How did your surgery go? I was watching you tube videos and it started making me nervous but the nurse in the office said she barely had any pain

Congrats! Sounds like you feel great. You are losing a bit faster than I am, I think. (Sleeved June 11). As the Japanese say: Gambatte! Go for it!

Congratulations on your awesome success! I was sleeved on June 4th too! The first few weeks were a little rough, eating and drinking wise, but I felt great. I definitely have no regrets!

Congratulations. I think you are doing fantastically and losing at a nice rate. So proud of the June Sleevers!

I'm also June 4th, I have lost 38 pounds and for those that are wondering why the big difference, same surgery, same day, I just have to caution people, not all people lose at the same rate, even two people that start at the same weight, same height, etc. lose at different speeds. I am a slow loser, but I exercise a lot and I lift weights, everyone has their own rate, and everyone has their own issues with stalls.

Thank you for the uplifting update!

Thanks. I wish u all great success in your journey as well. @MinaT that's great you're exercising, I haven't started yet, I keep procrastinating about going to the gym.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Anyone had the TORe procedure? How did it go? How much weight did you loose?

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
