I am on day 9, and still on liquid stage til day 21, i am a bit worried I am able to drink too much, I just made a cup of Soup with bout 200-250ml (6.7oz-8.4oz) of Water and drunk it in 1/2 hour with little or no pain, my book says I should be drinking 125ml (4.2oz) every half hour... Its not with everything, but i just noticed how quick i just drunk it, I am worried and don't want to stretch my sleeve... What amount is everyone drinking at around 9 days out? Anyone else doing this?

Everyone is different. I was able to get down 64 ounces 2 weeks out. As long as you're not in pain or pressure then don't worry. Listen to your body, you'll feel the pressure. It was hard for me to understand why I was getting things down so easy but when I did push too far it hurts.

After the first week, I also had the same worries. You'll definitely feel it, if you've pushed your sleeve too far. It's great that you can get your fluids in! Good luck!

Once you start on mushies, purses, and regular food you'll feel your restriction - liquids go down easier usually. You're fine, just try not to drink too much too fast, you'll know if you do. That's one thing you can.be sure of is that your new stomach will let you know if its unhappy

Three months and four days ago... I was in Costa Rica having a life changing surgery! Yesterday we had a followup visit with Dr. Esmeral via video chat and this morning my middle number changed.  I'm down 47lbs and two pants sizes. I can wear a Large tshirt for the first time in like... 14 years! Woot!! Everything is going great. I have zero regrets. I went down to the riverwalk with a friend and walked 2 miles on Monday without even getting fatigued. And no more snoring or chugging pickle juice for crazy leg cramps! I need to go to the gym more... I'm making new shirts next week so that will motivate me. LOL But I'm also just not as TIRED all the time! I have a LONG way to go...but seeing the progress on the scales and in the mirror is a huge motivator!! Thank you all for cheering me on and supporting me!!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.
