First Day Of Liquid Diet....13 To Go! (Last Supper)

Recommended Posts

This is going to be hard. I have never done anything like this without having some type of appetite supressent. But, I will stick to it and I am hoping it goes by fast.

I did go and have my "last supper" last ***ht, it included chocolate moulton cake from Chili's....I know bad, but I am pretty sure it will be a LONGGGGG time before I ever taste it again. Did anyone else have a last supper? I hope Im not alone!

I wanted to, but this month just flew by for me working a lot and tried to get everything to work. I did get in my hot and sour Soup before my surgery, which I was happy about. I am 100% that you are not alone, I'm pretty sure most people have had a last supper =)

It's okay to treat yourself a little, you're gonna have a long time of having to be good.

Oh yes went out for a blow out meal with hubby.... Loads of wine and heaven knows how many calories... Lol

I had my sleeve on July 23rd, so started my diet on 12th. I am in UK and they don't seem to use liquid diet here pre op. I had to go on a very strict limited calorie but balanced diet. But was still very tough. There were a few times I could have blown it, but as I was paying myself for op just couldn't afford the thought they wouldn't do the op for me if my liver wasn't shrunk enough. It was that thought that kept me strictly on the path and on the diet!!

Keep at it and keep strong.... It's worth it. I have lost 23lb since July 12th, and for the first time in my life I don't crave food or feel hungry.... It hs the first time I can honestly say food doesn't control me.... I keep thinking I am going to wake up tomorrow morning and be starving hungry again , but it just doesn't happen.

Good luck with the diet and the op... It was no where near as bad as I was expecting, keep us informed of your progress

Hi, I can relate. I started my liquid diet yesterday, and I'm already feeling deprived. And I have a bad headache. For me, the hunger is worst at ***ht. On here, I've read others comments, saying how we should be glad we can drink things down with now trouble. Because after surgery, even that will be hard for awhile. So I am trying to keep that in mind.

Are you on restricted calories too? I can only have 800 cal. a day. Three protien drinks, some V8, and a cup of non fat pudding. My surgery is on Aug. 15. When is yours?

don't kick yourself over a little Chili's, you might hurt yourself :D

i never croaked cuz of my "excess" food - but i wouldn't advise it to you newbies ;)

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
