Ok I have a huge issue, I am trying like heck to keep hydrated, but I am having a huge issue. Drinking straight Water is a no go, it sends me to the bathroom to void almost immediatly. its not only water, I have trouble drinking any liquid, but I can eat my frozen drinks. I take G2, freeze it and than put it in my blender on ice crush, and that I can more of and get more "fluid" in. does anyone have any suggestions, it makes it difficult if I am out.

My doc suggested turning Water acidic makes it easier to drink after surgery, so adding lemon or a squeeze of citris of some sort. Vitamin water has been my go to drink. For some reason I can drink that but G2 or Propel is a no go.

Check out Propel Zero. It's great stuff. Comes in individual packets of powder that you mix with Water. Zero calories, helps to hydrate you and comes in several different favors. You could freeze it like you do the gatorade if you like.

I keep bottles of Water with mio added to it in the freezer. I take one to work in my luchbox which acts as an ice pack and then it is ealy cold to drink. you can always try a travel blender

I have found that plain Water with a squirt of real lemon juice makes it go down much easier. Give it a try. Hope it works for you. I'm sorry you're having trouble. Also glad to hear you found that frozen drinks work. We do whatever we can!

Daniel, like you, I can drink more slushy G2 than any other liquid. That includes a variety of Crystal Light flavors. Slushy orange G2 is my favorite. But is it quite high in carbs so I only use after a long walk.

I do add some lemons and limes to my pitcher of Crystal Light. It's in a core cylinder so I think I'm going to take the suggestion to make it even more acidic. Good luck to you!

I cant seem to handle straight Water and nothing is ever cold enough! I live off of Vitamin zero water. I water it down a little because it has carbs but I hated g2 and sobe water. The vitamin zero tastes good and stays down. I also drink one Protein Shake a day from Syntrax Nectar choc truffle for added Protein and liquids.< /p>

I'm also totally off plain Water. I like adding crystal light but it is not easy to get here And sugar free gatorade or propel are not available at all. So im trying to make my own water mixes. I've added squeezed lemon and lime to a big jug of water and also a shot of sugar free mint Syrup. That's quite good - any other suggestions?

I'm sorry to hear that you're having trouble with straight Water. I'm having a hard enough time staying hydrated and I can drink straight water. Do you have a fridge/freezer at work? Maybe you can freeze some stuff and drink it slowly. I just got a new stainless steel water bottle. It's made by the company Bubba. It keeps ice slushy and icy for longer than any water bottle I've had. So maybe getting a good bottle like that and making a slushy drink every morning?

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
