Anybody In Their 20's

I just want some friends my age that are going through this process. I'm 21 and I've been given 3 months to lose 20lbs.

I'm 26. Sleeve date is August 13th. Feels good to know I'm not the only youngster around here. ^_- I read somewhere that most people who get weight loss surgery are 40s and up.

I'm 27' date=' but I was 26 when I started all this! Holding on to my 20's for dear life. ;o) I wanted to start actually living my life before I hit the big 3-0! I have my sleep study on Saturday and then 2 more visits with the NUT and they should be able to submit to my insurance! I can't wait![/quote']

Hey is anyone here at an out of state college or planning to go to an out of state college ... I'm supposed to be going to school a few weeks after my surgery and I would like to know how that environment affects weight loss or how the diet restrictions affects college life ( and drinking?)

I'm encouraged to not lose any weight; because insurance may deny my claim; if u don't mind those who have to lose weight what insurance do you have?

I don't think that my insurance required that I lose any weight. My surgeon wanted me to lose 10 poounds, it helps to shrink the liver and it makes the surgery easier. I have UHC

I'm 21 and will be sleeved August 9th! :)

I'm being sleeved August 9th as well! I'm 4 years older though :-P

I'm 28

I was told no drinking at all for 6 months, and when you can drink again, a glass of wine, or even one shot can make you prettttty drunk.

I am 24 and getting sleeved on September 25 :)
