So excited - I am 5 months post op and whenever I press the preset for my car seat the position that it goes to is too far from the steering wheel. I need to push the seat up much closer now ;)

Yayy! I continue to drive with my seat back, it's relaxing and spacey. Enjoy the NSV's! You've earned them! :)

I too have done the same, in fact more than a few times I've hopped in my van, pressed the seat memory button and wondered why the seat doesn't move forward, only to realize I never moved it back when I got out the last time - it was already forward and I didn't NEED it all the way back to get out.

i haven't been driving much in the past year or so.

last month i got into my car, sat down for the first time in months in the drivers seat, i said WHOA, as i was "falling backward" i said, "whats going on?"

i realized due to my weight loss my body went all the way to the back of my seat - far away from the wheel :)

OMG - i used to fit up at the wheel pretty snug , things do change ;)

kathy

keep on truckin',

or should I say

"keep on driving" :D

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
