My doctor said I could eat chicken and fish...

my foods consist of baked chicken, broil flounder, chilli, mashed pototoes, baked Beans, fat free pudding, carrotts and well thats about it...

I did have a hamburger cooked on the george foreman grill the size of a half-dollar...

Im a picky eater and I'm about to go nuts.... sigh...

I'm only 5 days out from surgery, so your food list looks YUMMY to me. :) Hang in there...before you know it, your list will be expanding.

Mine was June 11 and I'm not able to eat all that, I think you should slow down and keep the purée and liquid for 2 more weeks, I eat and I have not problem with what I eat. For you to have a burger I think that's tooooo soon.

Mine was the 28th and I'm able to eat that stuff now also. But it just started Thursday and I was thankful. Maybe you can try changing your chicken up or something.

You could do refried Beans (add a little avocado or salsa or plain greek yogurt). You could also do scrambled eggs.

I made a dish that was chicken breast (you'll have to shred the chicken about halfway through cooking), black Beans, 1/2 cup or so of chicken broth, Rotel tomatoes and some cumin, let it simmer for about an hour and it's really pretty yummy and full of Protein - perfect for the stages you're in.

Have you tried thinly sliced deli meats (turkey breast, chicken, roast beef, etc)? Those are included in my "soft/pureed/ground" stage. Also, there are many different types of fish available frozen (I just got some wicked good "bourbon glazed" salmon at BJs...very tasty, high Protein, and no carbs.), some even come in microwavable steam pouches. Harvestland makes a very tasty turkey burger...3 oz after cooking. Most any canned veggie will be soft enough for you to eat...that gives you green Beans, wax beans, beets, carrots, asparagus...anything non-starchy...as well as canned legumes (black beans, navy beans, etc). I hope you find some additional options to add to your menu!! :)

Wow, you're moving pretty fast. I'm only 6 days out, but the research and being on here all the time, this is the first time I'm seeing someone eat that kind of food so soon. When I get to the puree phase it's supposed to be at least 3 weeks. I'll be scared to mess something up by moving faster than that. But there is a lot of info out there on what sleevers can eat at each phase, so hopefully you find a little more variety.

Be grateful, very grateful, I got sleeved on June 4th....and I just got to soft food today, I was on full liquids for 5 weeks and then purees a week.

I didn't start "soft foods" yet because I was having a difficulty with purees until the last 2 days.

Good luck

Remember everyone's doctor and NUT have different food plans. I'm expected to be full diet at 6 weeks. It'll probably take me to 7, but I'm eating most of those things at 5 weeks.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
