i was thinking about my short term goal last night & i think i want to change it. im scared to in fear i wont meet it but i think its some what realistic!

i said i wanted to be 165 or below by my 24th birthday which is aug 26th. thats 11 pounds in 1 month & 10 days. im going to start hitting the gym today for the 1st time ever since surgery. my boyfriends a personal trainer & body builder so hewill be training me.

i think i want to change it so that im 165 or below by my 10yr anniversary (aug 17th) & be 155 by my birthday which is 21lbs in 41days.

im going to be weight training & doing cardio + upping my Protein & cutting out sweets! when training & eating better, i usually lose 4-8lbs the 1st week & then about 2-4lbs every week after that. if i lose more than 4 the first week & keep the # @ 3 every week after, ill reach my goal!

every yr, i diet & diet for my birthday & never weighed less than 218! this year, i could possibly be 63lbs lighter than what my lowest was! :D

You sound so much like me!! I am a pre-sleeve and an August baby (aug 23)!!! I am getting sleeved in october and I just want to tell you that your story is very inspiring to me.....so thanks!! I also was just wondering about your hair loss. I have very long and thick curly hair and am curious as to what's going to happen to it after surgery. Did yours fall out gradually or very quickly? Has it started to come back in yet? I am sorry for asking such personal questions but I love my hair and am very nervous about losing it!!! Congrats on your success...u look amazing girlie!!!

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
