I LOVE LOVE LOVE MY BAND:biggrin1: :biggrin1: :biggrin1: :biggrin1: :biggrin1: :biggrin1: :biggrin1: :biggrin1: :biggrin1: :biggrin1: :biggrin1: :biggrin1: :biggrin1: :biggrin1: :biggrin1:

ok just a few weeks ago i was a little unsure that this was going to work. seeing as how i have been at a standstill since the first month of surgery. i was a little disappointed that i didn't have the gastric bypass instead, but i had another 0.5cc fill last friday (for a total of 2cc) and it was what i needed!!! i feel control-it is like the cravings were reduced by 75% or more. i really don't care what i eat as long as i eat when i am truely hungry. i feel motivated. i feel awesome. (that awesomeness may be from working out every other day though) hey i even quit drinking with my meals--now that my band is working i figured i might as well work with it! i know i know, it should have been the other way around but hey what can i say, for a nurse i am pretty noncompliant!

good luck to everyone who is struggling you will get there!!!!!!

jen

banded 4-4-06 263lbs

today 238lbs and the scale is heading down.

That is so awesome! I'm hoping for the same thing with my 2nd fill on Sat. I can eat as much as preband right now. I'm glad to see there is hope!

:biggrin1: Jen, reading your post made me smile, lol. It is so good to see people post about how happy they are with their bands and that they are loving it. I started really loving mine after I got my first fill too. Restriction is a beautiful thing!

Congrats, you deserve it,

I'm so glad your band is working for you and yes I agree the fill is the key for help. I got my 2nd fill 2 weeks ago and it has worked wonders. I too am about at the same, 2.25 but now it is t.o.m. and I can tell I'm eating a tad more and had my first pbing incident yesterday and it was horrible. It hurt so bad but I made it through it.

I had said I wasn't going to post with all of the stuff that was going on with the people talking so nasty on here but I feel this is my home as much as anyone's and I don't have a single problem with noone so I'm going to try it but just try to not post very much. I just wanted to say how proud for you I was.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
