Labor Day Challenge 2012

Recommended Posts

Woo! Hoo! My body held on to the 200 lb mark for a few weeks so don't get discouraged if it happens to you too. You will get there' date=' just keep at it.[/quote']

It's time for my next stall anyways lol. Almost at 3 months. Went through a 3 1/2 week stall during the fourth challenge. Thanks for the encouragement. We got this :-)

My 35th birthday is on Labor Day. So I guess mine will be a birthday challenge too. I would love, love, love to make it to onederland, but my weight loss has greatly slowed down. I guess I will say 20# and if I can get more than that, it will be great.

I hope this is my last challenge of the losing phase of my sleeve. I am 10 pounds away from my goal weight. I only lost 2.5 pounds the last challenge but it was only 5 weeks long and I stalled for 4 of it. Since I have 8 weeks+ in this one, I will go for my goal weight 135. I want to be there by my surgiversary but sadly, I have stalled too much to make that goal a reality. I want to get there by Labor day and if I do, it will be the first challenge I will achieve. I have been in each one, starting with Halloween last year and have yet to actually achieve one!!! I will make this last one! I will!!!!!!

I've been at 202 for a few Weeks and it is so frustrating. I can't wait to hit the 100s.

I thought it was just me! I have been hovering around this 209/208 for a while now and am getting really irritated!

I would get to 202, then back up to 204, then down to 201, back up to 203, then down and up. It's the only time my weight has done this so far was the 200 mark. My body was just fighting to stay around there. I guess it was used to being over 200 for so long that it didn't want to let go, but eventually it did. Thank goodness!

Can pre-opers participate? My surgery date is 9/5 and I'd love to lose 20 lbs by then. The last week and a half will be the high protein/low carb preop diet.

We've got a lot of newbies, people close to their goal and those about to cross into Onederland. Let's all be sure to cheer each other on during this challenge and not just on weigh in days. Speaking of weigh in days, how about each Monday since Labor Day is on a Monday?

Good luck to all, I cannot wait to Celebrate your success!

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
