I told my trainer that I was sweating more since I gained weight. He pointed out that my muscle was better 'insulated' by the fat, and it made sense that I would sweat more. I liked that answer and was hoping that I would sweat less as I lose weight.

I sure hope it gets better after I lose my weight! I have gotten to where I sweat so badly! I HATE IT! It is so uncomfortable to sweat just walking out in the hot weather. I have always sweated more than others but I've always been bigger too, and it's gotten worse over the past couple years when I gained another 40lb.

Anyway glad you posted about this bc it sure will be nice to sweat less!

Wow I am really glad someone posted about this. Since I have had kids and put on weight I have noticed a lot of things have changed. I do swear a lot more and it's really uncomfortable. Especially when your sitting at work and you are sweating just from sitting. I really hope that once I start losing weight that the sweating issue will stop.

I know the feeling :( its really depressing too. I have people come up to me at work asking if I'm ok do I need anything? All because I al sweating so much. I work in a hospital so everyone is concerned when they see someone that doesn't look healthy and looks like they are having a rough time or is sick. It gets really embarrassing too in front of patients.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
