1 cup of milk is 8 grams of Protein

1/2 cup legumes is 7

1/4 cup cottage cheese is 7

1 egg is 6

1 oz. almonds is 6

Also, have you tried the Premier Protein shakes from Sam's or costco? They are the only ones that don't taste funky to me.

How about eggs and fish? You can get crystal light, SF syrups, SF pudding, and add those to Protein Shakes and greek yogurt for some different flavors.

I LOVE the premier chocolate shakes, they remind me of chocolate milk! They dont have a nasty after taste or smell.

I cant drink Protein shake all by itself at all so I gave it lil flavour. I make my self some ice Cappuccino, here is the recipe,

2 scoop vanilla Protein powder(I use Isopure, 50gm protein)

2 TSP sugar free Mocha (I use Caffe D'Vita sugar free Mocha)

1 cup milk and some ice

I put every thing in my magic bullet and blend it very well. It taste really good and I am kinda addicted to it now.

So I saw that you live in garden city. I google mapped where a smoothie king is near you

I haved used the gladiator Protein shake mix (90 cals per scoop, no fat, <1g carbs and <1g sugar) and LOVE it. chocolate is my favorite and you can buy it in bulk powder form also vanilla & strawberry. 2 scoops will give you 45 grams of Protein but when I make it at home I onlly use one scoop with a 1/2c of skim milk and I am still getting 30g of protein per drink in. Have them make you one in the store. see how you like it and then play with different ingredients at home. my absolute favorite is chocolate with a 1/2t of instant Decaf coffee crystals. BTW Protein drinks always taste better to me as a frozen drink. Can not stomach them mixed with a blender ball. I now look foward to my froen chocolate shake every morning

Feel your pain as I couldn't gag down the thick sweet Protein shakes either. So I went to clear Protein in a bottle which I found at GNC. 40gm protein Isopure in Apple melon flavor around $4.50 a bottle was my standard during the first few months to supplement protein. Not delicious but certainly drinkable - think apple jolly roger candy. Just get one. Taste buds change.

Also, have you tried Cappuccino protein? Still drink that today when I am in a hurry.

get a sample of cinnamon swirl and the unflavored from www.tryabouttime.com Cinna swirl is amazing in almond milk!! I have a few other flavors i am trying and will post a review on each one. 2 samples are $3.99. I HATE Protein Shakes but these do not have that yucky taste after or during. Flavored with stevia. SO GOOD!

I have been eating Quinoa a lot lately. It is a grain (that is also gluten free) and has 8 g Protein in 1 cup. You cook it like rice. I don't really like the taste, but if you add onions and chicken broth to cook it in it is better. Lately I have been making it and cooling it and tossing it with arugula, chopped cucumbers, craisins, and feta in lemon and olive oil. I can't get enough of it---I haven't been sleeved yet!

If you get the Unjury unflavored you can add that to your Soup or anything you eat to get your Protein

I had/have trouble getting enough Protein in, too, since I can't eat meat/chicken/some kinds of fish/egg yolks. I eat mostly vegetable protein and dairy, along with shellfish. Can you tolerate tofu or other soy products? What about thin-sliced lunch meats? I can eat a little ham lunch meat (although it's not a guarantee), and I can eat egg whites--I LOVE a hard-boiled egg and can eat the entire white (if you have a pet, they'll be happy to "assist" you with the yolk, which is good for their coats).

caffe D'vita is brand name, it is in powder form and it has different flavour ( french vanilla, Cappuccino, mocha etc etc). I found them in a coffe isle in a grocery store. Some time I also use only one scoop of Isopure Protein powder (vanilla) and a Tbs of Peanut Butter as well but I always put ice in my Protein shake before blending that way it taste better and is more easy for me to drink. Iam 7 weeks post op and cant each much in the morning. So my Protein Shake give me enough Protein and calories in the morning.

Protien pudding... Do you like pudding? Make a box of suger free fat free pudding with skim milk and add 2 scoops of protien powder when mixing it up. TONS of protien in a small amount of pudding. It's an easy way to get the protien in.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
