How are all of my June 19th sleevers doing? I started off a little rocky, but it seems to get a little better each day...

Hey Little Bits!

I hope that rocky start has come around to that smooth ride!

I'm doing well, and the pounds seem to literally be melting off! I dropped 6 pounds since yesterday! I'm down 365 to 327.4 (with 25 of those pre op) so far and ready to lose more. I've lost at least one to two inches on all of my measurements and so far so good on that.

The one thing I am though is bored! I am so ready to move on to full liquids from clear!

Healing has been great. I haven't taken anything for pain since I came home from the hospital and I am moving around wonderfully.

Keep us in the loop and I am looking forward to your next vlog entry!

Eric

Dadto2, I was just thinking about making my next vlog. I might do it today. On another note, I weighed myself on Thursday & I was down a total of 10.5 lbs. I am trying not to weigh myself again until I make a new vlog. However, I will admit that the curiosity is killing me. Smh

Hey great job on the weight loss!

Thanks, I actually got on the scale last night. (I was planning on doing a YouTUBE update...maybe today.) Anyway, as of last night, I am down to 200.2 lbs! Yay!!!

I'm doing well. I dropped another 3.1 pounds since yesterday bringing the total loss to 41 pounds since I started this whole thing. I have a feeling the weight loss will start slowing way down though. I believe a lot of what I am losing is "water" or Fluid weight. And I'm losing inches! My clothes are very loose so perhaps it's time to go shopping soon! (sorry, I happen to be a guy who likes to shop :) )

Fluid intake is steady, I'm taking in anywhere from 6 to 7 ounces an hour without issue, and I am so ready to start chewing again!

I am very glad to hear you're doing so well.

Thanks for asking about me.

Eric

On day 4 of the 2 week liquid pre-op diet. Surgery scheduled for June 11th.
Soooo I am coming to a realization
of something and I'm not sure what to do about it. For years the only thing I've enjoyed is eating. We rarely do anything or go anywhere and if we do it always includes food. Family comes over? Big family dinner! Go camping? Food! Take a short ride or trip? Food! Holiday? Food! Go out of town for a Dr appointment? Food! When we go to a new town we don't look for any attractions, we look for restaurants we haven't been to. Heck, I look forward to getting off work because that means it's almost supper time. Now that I'm drinking these pre-op shakes for breakfast, lunch, and supper I have nothing to look forward to.  And once I have surgery on June 11th it'll be more of the same shakes. Even after pureed stage, soft food stage, and finally regular food stage, it's going to be a drastic change for the rest of my life. I'm giving up the one thing that really brings me joy. Eating. How do you cope with that? What do you do to fill that void? Wow. Now I'm sad.

Three months and four days ago... I was in Costa Rica having a life changing surgery! Yesterday we had a followup visit with Dr. Esmeral via video chat and this morning my middle number changed.  I'm down 47lbs and two pants sizes. I can wear a Large tshirt for the first time in like... 14 years! Woot!! Everything is going great. I have zero regrets. I went down to the riverwalk with a friend and walked 2 miles on Monday without even getting fatigued. And no more snoring or chugging pickle juice for crazy leg cramps! I need to go to the gym more... I'm making new shirts next week so that will motivate me. LOL But I'm also just not as TIRED all the time! I have a LONG way to go...but seeing the progress on the scales and in the mirror is a huge motivator!! Thank you all for cheering me on and supporting me!!
