YAAAAAYYYY!!! It's such a great feeling!!! After getting up to 349 and coming down to- so far- 280, I feel like a "normal person!" I can reach my feet, my backside, if I drop stuff on the floor, I don't have to make my kids pick it up because the reflux would make me sick, I can fit in almost any chair, buckle the seatbelt on the plane, use ANY public restroom stall- not just the big one....

YOU ARE GOING TO LOOOOOOOVE IT!!!!!!!!! CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!

What of ore-surgery diet will you be on...I have my surgery on the 12th and I started today with an all liquid diet till surgery...is that what you have

I start mine on Monday for 2 weeks. A Protein shake for Breakfast and lunch and then I get to have one of those dinners like a south beach or weight watcher for one meal. I could have a lein Protein like chicken or turkey and a vegetable but must be only be about 800 calories per day.. Yours is all liquid?

Hmmm... Buckling a seatbelt on alane. I hadn't thought of that benefit! I am happy that I will never have to buy two adjoining seats again!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Anyone had the TORe procedure? How did it go? How much weight did you loose?

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Your so close now! It's gonna be great :) Wishing you a speedy recovery and looking forward to seeing how it goes!

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
