Question about Moderators

Recommended Posts

thread killing is used to stop unacceptable behaviour. like screaming at people about things that need to be left to mods to decide. so rather than take the mod's time to have to come in and yell at people and warn them and shut the thread down, thread killers do it for them. its only used in warring situations. :)

And this is considered acceptable forum behaviour?

It has not yet been ruled unacceptable. If it is ruled as unacceptable, we will of course abide by that ruling.

It's not mature, but hell, I could use some immaturity.

I think cheese kills better than lettuce and exercise. honestly. I think jp's chili on spaghetti with onions cheese and a root beer kills quicker, and kills a few surrounding the thread as well.

I have yet to eat cheese that was worth eating in the US.

Where pray tell, will you eat your cheese?

In a box?

With a Fox?

How about some Lox?

You want that Devonshire cheese dont you????

Actually, I'd go with some extremely mature new zealand cheddar.

I would not like it in a hat.

I would not like it in my cat.

But I know it makes me fat.

Because on my ass is where I sat.

This is not a democracy. This board is owned by someone, who has absolute say in what happens. There is no "right to know". I've never heard of a board that discusses the details of any corrective action, including banning, with its members. Ever. Few will even share with other board mods encountering problems with the same person. I would HOPE, as a user, that this type of information would not be shared. It's simply no one else's business, and I think a lot of people, if having found themselves in the same situation, would prefer things be kept behind the scenes.

If you disagree with something that has been done, send a message to Alex. That is my best suggestion for "getting your voice heard", "Getting your two cents in" -- whatever you want to call it. Don't expect explanations, justifications, or the ilk. They aren't owed. Alex isn't on the board much so chances are that he won't even see these messages. Even if he does see them, I would *highly* doubt he will publicize the reasons behind his actions. And good for him, that's the way it should be. IMO.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
