Anyone from the South Florida area. I am in Davie but being sleeved in Hollywood Florida this Thursday 6/7 (i can hardly believe its almost here) I keep reading posts about people finding different "supplies" at Walmart, target etc. Every time I check I can't find any of the items mentioned. I thought local people would know what we have down here! If you have found any good products or good deals...

I'm in Vero Beach, which is closer to the middle of FL, but I may be able to help you figure out what stores carry what you're looking for. If you tell me what you're having a tough time finding, I'll be happy to help. You can PM me or do it here in this thread. :)

I was trying to get the stuff for the eggface ice cream recipes. I can't find the sugar free syrups anywhere. Also I see a lot or posts about sugar free pudding mix to add to Protein Shakes and all I can find is plain vanilla. I know every store is different. So I thought if someone close by was able to find things I could drive to their locations =)

Walmart does carry the sugar free syrups. Usually found in the coffee aisle. they also carry the SF pudding mixes over near the baking supplies. Amazon has all of the above if you truly can't find a local store with them.

Hello Ladies - Boynton Beach here. I've been eating Nature Valley Oats 'n Honey Granola Bars and just love them. I get them at costco - they come in a huge box that lasts about a month.

Wow pembroke pines, that's really close!! I bought some of the sugar free syrups at marshalls, but it was vanilla caramel etc. I wanted plain strawberry. But now I am 6 Weeks post op tomorrow so just using regular strawberries! This is the first week I have actually felt back to myself!!! Sooooo glad since I was starting to have major regrets!

I am on the other coast of Florida near Tampa. Sleeve scheduled for 8/6. I start preop diet tomorrow. How soon did you guys get back to work after surgery- I know everyone is different. Just trying to get an estimate, I am taking ten days off. Not sure if is enough time.

We have a wine rack that came with our furnished rental here in Dade City. My wife filled it up with sugar-free syrups from T.J.Maxx and a little from Sam's Club. We hit the Organo Gold coffee every day, she can really jazz 'em up!

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
