Who Still Drinks Caffeine In The Morning??

Recommended Posts

My nutritionist said no caffine for a year. Surgeon wasn't as strict - stop for surgery and recovery. I have been living on coffee until I feel ready for food (sometimes not until late morning or afternoon). Trying to work in morning protien drinks to get a healthier start to the day. Give up my caffine though - NO WAY.

Paul..... need...... morning...... coffee......no......function......without.....coffee.....

Yeah, I still have it. My doc has no objections on much of anything, unless you overdo it.

I have a 24oz cup from a convenience store on my way to work everyday.

Bengal Trader, is what they call it, Breakfast blend. With Splenda and skim milk.... yummy!

My doctor said be careful of caffeine - that it's a stomach irritant. I took that to mean, have caffeine as tolerated, leave it alone if it's not important to you.

I was never a big coffee drinker but I do go through spurts of coffee overconsumption! I haven't figured out if there's a pattern to it or anything but every 2 or 3 months I go on a coffee jag.

After my esophagus was irritated I decided NO coffee. Just in case. Since my esophagus is back to normal I've had a few cups without incident.

Here's my latest observation . . . Decaf coffee gives me WAY worse coffee breath than caffeinated. Anyone else notice this? Maybe I'm just too hyper and busy to NOTICE my coffee breath after the caffeinated stuff! LOL Who knows.

I pour a cup of coffee every morning, but generally am too restricted to get more than 1/2 down. If I'm lucky I can get a full cup in, but I have to reheat it a time or two because it takes a while. No restrictions by my doc though.

I had caffeine today for the first time in two and a half months, it really upset my stomach ;)

And from what I hear it messes with your bloodsugar, causing you to get hungry?

I drink a pot a day and would not feel normal without. My gastroentranologist (sp) said coffee was bad for the reflux. So maybe that has something to do with it.

I'm not banded yet but I will not give up my caffeine. I know I will have to give up Diet Coke and that really hurts. I LOVE Diet Coke. I just started drinking coffee 10 months ago and I am really glad I did. I've heard something hot in the morning helps with the band. I love iced tea so I will be drinking that in place of Diet Coke.

why cant we have caffeine? I drink a ton of coffee a day due to the fact that its low calorie and open up my band so that I can eat. Without it I couldnt eat, so I dunno. Never heard of not being able to have caffeine

I love my coffee too. The mornings wouldn't be the same without a coffee. That's one thing I really look forward too. Sometimes during the day if I feel and little hungry I have a milky coffee and it hits the spot and curbs the hunger..

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
