Sorry! I haven't been on the forum this week. So I started this challenge at 332 and my goal was 318. I got to 319 by June 21 which I was ecstatic about! Then my TOM came. Also, I work with a residential college-prep summer camp for teenagers during the summer. I've been eating terribly the last couple of weeks. Grazing, poor food choices, not enough Water. This week I weighed in at 323 so I didn't make my 4th goal. UGH! This is my first gain since surgery and I'm trying not to freak out. I'm going to try to make better choices this week. Congrats to everyone for a great challenge! On to the Labor Day goal....

I can't find the thread' date=' where is it? Can you have it pinned?[/quote']

I'm trying to have it pinned, but they need the URL for it and I cannot see the URL on my iPad and I can't get to a computer until Tuesday. I did a search though and found the thread with no problem. "Labor Day Challenge 2012". Don't use the quotes, just the words and you should be able to locate it. If you come across the URL, could you send it to me so I can get back to Alex sooner to pin it? Thanks!

BTW, first weigh in for the challenge is tomorrow and every Monday afterward. hope to see you in the challenge!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
