Should All Pre-Oppers Get A Sleep Study Done?

Recommended Posts

Just a warning, I had just two symptoms - the main one being really tired some days, but not all days. I also snored some, but not enough to bother hubby. That's it, none of the others. I was diagnosed with SEVERE sleep apnea,so even if you have fewer then 4 of the below, don't completely rule it out.

Of course, hubby sleeps like the dead so he may not have noticed some of the symptoms.

Do you Snore?

Have you been told that you hold your breath or stop

breathing during sleep?

Do you wake up Gasping for Breath?

Do you awaken with headaches?

Do you fall asleep frequently while reading?

Have you fallen asleep while driving or stopped at a

light?

Do you have jerking movements while sleeping?

Do you still feel exhausted after 8 hours of sleep?

If you answered YES to more than four of the above questions, you may have sleep

apnea and you should talk to your doctor about a sleep study.

Every single person I know that had a sleep study was diagnosed with "severe" sleep apnea. Most of them had zero symptoms. Makes me wonder how much of it is true and how much of it is to sell cpap machines.

I wouldn't take the chance, of course, and would use the machine if I was told to. It just makes me wonder.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
